My husband and I contracted with KeyPrime Roofing & Remodeling in November 2016 to complete a new roof on our large Post & Beam house, shop garage and gazebo along with 8 skylights that had been damaged due to hail. 2 Skylights were leaking. We replaced our cedar shakes with architectural shingles and debated about using either cedar again or metal which KeyPrime was also well versed in. Our entire experience with KeyPrime was flawless and exceeded our expectations in many ways. We are extremely pleased with the outcome. We met with William Shvets who was knowledgeable and had experience in all aspects of roofing and skylight replacement. He was clear, spoke in terms we could understand, was on time and scheduled visits that met with our availability. William communicated very professionally in person and via email and was immediately responsive to my inquiries and questions. His kindness and intelligence were apparent as he thoroughly explained what options were available to us and went over costs and suggested roofing colors/selections, benefits. He also provided a list of area home addresses so I could drive by to obtain a better visual in order to make the best decision regarding materials and colors. He explained our contract honestly and we clearly understood what our obligations were. The project was started on time, May 23, 2017 and finished in 4 days which is amazing for accomplishing a tear off of cedar shakes on a 3,700 square foot home, separate 2 car garage and gazebo. They timed the weather situation perfectly and did have to tarp up the roof once for a very small drizzle of rain overnight. The crew was excellent and worked with safety harnesses and ropes and were very diligent with long days to stay on task and get the job done without delay. They were very considerate of caring for our property and no garbage or debris was left lying around day by day. They placed all equipment neatly on the side of the driveway so we could access our garages. I had concerns about newly emerging spring plants and perennials close to our home, but the foreman placed saw horses over the areas with plywood on top for protection and not one plant was damaged. The skylights were expertly handled and when they ran into a concern with matching up to our tongue & groove ceiling, William and his partner Nick previewed the situation and decided on the best way to remedy and they completed all 8 skylights with custom matched trim stain to perfection. My husband was very pleased, to say the least. We needed a company that was reputable (I did check out KeyPrime on the BBB, Angie’s List, State of MN, etc.) along with personal testimonies, (like this one) and found that they had the experience using all roofing materials, expertise with skylights, used current technology to gain exact roof measurements and generally speaking could do a worthwhile quality job and all with solid guarantees. I would hate to have problems later on and not be able to count on my roofer to fix any issues. We are completely satisfied that they have done quality workmanship with quality materials. Our Insurance adjuster with Country Financial stopped by while the crew was working and called me personally to say “I have to say, Pam, I am very impressed with the work done so far. This is one of the best roofing jobs I have ever seen.” I can’t tell you how happy I was to hear that. I have heard nightmare stories about roofing companies and men who hold a hammer and call themselves ‘contractors’, or shoddy jobs done incompletely and you have no recourse except the courtroom. KeyPrime comes at the highest recommendation from myself and my husband and we know you will be just as confident and pleased with any work they perform for you and your family. We have nothing but the highest praise for the work that KeyPrime did. We used them initially for the replacement of some siding above our screen porch that had been pecked through by woodpeckers. William, recommended a James Hardie product that ultimately defeated the woodpeckers. The work was perfect. What impressed me the most, was that after we thought it looked great, the foreman Nick, told us that he would be back to fix some imperfections that we couldnt even see. This was a pride of craftsmanship that I hadnt come across before. We subsequently used Keyprime to replace our 20 year old roof. William did all the legwork with the insurance company. We didnt have to do a thing, other than sign some papers and pay our insurance deductible. William spared us the entire hassle of dealing with the insurance company. The new roof looks fantastic. Done on time. No mess less afterward. Finally, we hired Keyprime to replace a worn out exterior door and replace some baseboard around our kitchen cabinets. The work was done perfectly and the price was quite reasonable. Weve hired various companies over the years to do a variety of repair work around our house. I can honestly say that weve never worked with a company that I have come to trust as much as Keyprime. Im sorry to sound like a commercial, but any repairs that we have for the future, I will first check with Keyprime to see first if this is something that is in their wheelhouse. I cant recommend them highly enough.

KeyPrime people are very competent and courteous. We have a house that has what I consider to be a complex roof (one main roof an five mini-rooves, really). The main roof had plainly obvious structural damage from the weight of the snows in Minnesota, which KeyPrime warned us about and fixed. They also installed LeafProof gutters at our request, even though that is not the normal brand they install. KeyPrime also did the expected great job of putting in expert flashings and the ridge vents we wanted (four in all, including a huge one on the main roof). They also added many small touches, such as small vertical rain guides at roof corners and intersections, which I wasnt even expecting. They even improvised a leaf guard for our sun room roof, which wasnt even part of the deal, and it seems to be working (no commercial product would handle that roof); this leaf-proofing screen was installed at no extra cost. I am the kind of person who worries about every little detail, and I must say that KeyPrime took the whole load off my shoulders. The roof is gorgeous ... every time I approach the house now I stop and look at it. And, of course, we are dry!

I had KeyPrime replace the roof on my house, a flat roof on an attached garage, soffit/fascia repair and new gutters, on a very old house. It was a large job, they made it seem very easy, and I am very happy with the results. I now have a much more solid roof and the peace of mind that comes with that. Everyone involved from KeyPrime was great to work with, from the operations manager, to the job foreman, to the various crews involved with the work. They were great about helping me understand all the work necessary and what spots would need some extra attention and work. Due to this, there were no real surprises once the work began and the work was completed just as originally planned. They also worked very closely with my insurance adjuster and helped me get the best possible claim with the insurance company. I am using them for some additional jobs and I would recommend them to family and friends.
