I hired Nixa Lawn to mow my property while I was out of town. Several months later they called me and told me I never paid my bill, the bill they never sent. I was told on the phone that I had to give them a credit card to pay this because their accountant needed to finish their end of year books. Not sure you really need to share that information with customers to be begin with. Not seeing an issue with the situation (other than being accused of not paying a bill and them not taking responsibility for not sending the bill) I gave them a credit card number and they agreed to email me the receipt for my records. I got the receipt a few days later and discovered that they had charged me for two mowings when they had only mowed once. It took me four months to get a refund. I had to call twice a week and leave a voicemail on their mowing side. After a month of this I realized that they were just dodging me so I started to call the landscaping side. The guys on the landscaping side are much nicer and had the wherewithal to realize I was being screwed with by the mowing side. I was told I would be called very shortly by the mowing people. I never was. I continued to call the landscaping side of the business and was given the same story. Finally one day when I called I was told that the mowing guy was sitting right next to the landscaping guy and I could talk to him (this is after four months of calling and leaving voicemails). I was then told that if I wanted my refund I had to meet him in 20 minutes at a gas station. I had to call my wife and get her to drive across town to meet him because I was unavailable. All this over $45. Needless to say there werent many positives in dealing with them.

We hired Nixa Lawn Service to mow our yard once a week throughout the summer. Several times over the summer our yard was not mowed and we had to call the office to make sure we were not charged for that week. The woman that answers the phone is usually short and somewhat hateful. When I inquired about my yard not being mowed one week because it had rained, she was hateful and told me that this was just the nature of the business and they cannot mow if it is raining. I explained to her that I understand that but I should not have to pay for service that was not provided. The next time the yard was not mowed (and it was not because of rain this time) I called and was told that the mowers said they mowed and she reluctantly said she would not charge me for that week. The mowers are friendly but they do not do a very good job of mowing. They get the job done as fast as possible and that seems to be the only thing they are concerned with. There is a section of our yard in between a utility box and our mailbox that is difficult to mow with a riding mower so instead of using a push mower or the edger, they just dont mow it very often. A couple of times they have left the gate open to our backyard. I will NOT be hiring them again next year.

Nixa Lawn Service worked on my landscaping and my lawn in the fall of 2010. They came out, removed what amounted to a forest of an overgrowth in my back yard, and turned it into something beautiful. My neighbors were amazed! My whole yard looks fantastic now, with big mounds of mulch, lots of pretty bushes and shrubs, and my grass is starting to look really nice this spring because they aerated and overseeded my yard. They even came back the next spring to overseed again (and didnt charge me!). The owners are good guys and easy to do business with. I was really happy with them. Dont give your money to the big out-of-town corporations! Give these local boys a chance! They do great work.

Nixa Lawn has taken care of my mowing and maintenance for years. Always had a good experience and they did a good job. Most recently I had a large landscaping project at a new property. The trim work, bed work, dirt work, sod work, plants and bushes, up lighting, retaining walls and many other things they put together for us made it look like a 5 star resort in our yard!! Excellent job and design with friendly, hardworking laborers. I highly recommend them for the smallest to the biggest job.

Ive been using Nixa Lawn Service for regular lawn mowing for over 2 years now. They do what they say they will do and they show up to mow when they are supposed to. I dont have to worry about my lawn - it just gets done. They are a reliable company to work with, and Ive never had any problems with them. What really impressed me though was the landscaping work they did for my this past fall. They did some mulching, planting, and trimming for us. The work was great and the prices were reasonable.

Would recommend this company to all my friends and family. Had some miscommunication, but the owner called me himself and promptly apologized and handled the issue. The guys did a great job doing a spring cleanup for me. You can really tell the owner wants to provide great service and customer service! I dont expect a perfect company, but instead one that wants to do a great job and Nixa Lawn Service is just that.

We hired them to hang up Christmas lights. I never imagined you could hire a company to do this, but Im glad we did. They look great and they did a much better job than I could have done. Plus, I didnt have to worry about hanging lights this year. Our neighbors complimented us, so we referred Nixa Lawn Service to them.

Finally received a quote from these folks, however, when I asked them to actually perform the service I never heard from them again. Either theyre too busy and cant manage their work, or they simply have terribl customer service.
