Im a huge online shopper. I probably come here once a week... Literally. I come here to pick up all my packages from amazon and other online stores. The reason i ship my packages to the customer service center is cause i have an issue with stolen packages at my apartment complex. I started coming here maybe two years ago and been a regular customer since. I come here so often... I dont even need to show my identification anymore.. I just walk up tell them my address.. Which they probably remember but pretend they dont.. And jot down some numbers and head back to pick up my packages.. I usually go in the afternoon or evenings and that crew knows me well. Every now and then i would have to go in the morning and they would make me show my ID. Its cool though.. Im sure if i go often enough in the morning, they would recognize me as well. I have probably hundreds of shipments the past couple years.. And UPS hasnt let me down yet. I buy everything from phones, televisions, auxiliary cables to chips, shampoo, body wash, clothes and more.. You name a good deal... Ill for sure buy it. Great customer center.

I ordered a package through amazon, as you do during the holiday season. Every other package arrived at my apartment on time without problem except the one handled by UPS. They apparently could not read my address so they did not deliver it for a while until I contacted them and clarified. I was willing to let that slide. They were finally going to deliver it to my apartment, except they require a signature for something as small as a pair of earmuffs which is really ridiculous. I am a full time college student with two jobs in the middle of finals. I am not home when they come at 11 am on a weekday but it was so confusing to figure out the customer service line I couldnt try to change anything. On the third day I was home from 9:45 to 11:30. While they reported delivering it at 10:26, I heard no knock and no doorbell ring. Considering I was very close to the door, this would not have been possible if they actually knocked. I called the customer service hotline and the lady I talked to was incredibly rude and hostile, ignoring my complaint entirely, and essentially told me not to come back to UPS.

Awful service, incompetent delivery men, understaffed office. The delivery guy didnt ring my doorbell when he tried to deliver. Leaves a note saying that they will try again in 3 days. No way Im waiting another 3 days. I called their 800 number and asked if I could come and pick it up, the guy I talked to said I could and that he would let them know I was coming. I arrive, 1 girl working the desk, takes like 15 minutes to get through the line. I tell her I called ahead, no one told her though so we start from the beginning. She looks it up and says the truck is there and that she will send someone to retrieve the package, and that it will take 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, someone comes out and says they couldnt find it, but that they will look for it and call me if they find it and I can come pick it up the next day. Guess Im going to wait 3 days and pray to god the delivery guy is smart enough to use a doorbell.

The driver who delivers to my home in Uptown is very unpleasant to interact with. I signed up for MyChoice and he has still manages to be surly about drop-offs. Im not sure if hes the same person who delivers in northern uptown (closer to Franklin and Hennepin), but whoever is delivering there often does not even bother to buzz up to my friends apartment before deciding that it is "undeliverable" (my friend knows because he is HOME all day when he gets the "package undeliverable" notification). I also found the staff at this center unpleasant on the phone--they always sounded like they were really annoyed that I was calling. I finally signed up for MyChoice so that UPS would stop "returning to sender". If Amazon didnt use UPS (apparently exclusively) for Amazon prime shipping, I would never use UPS in Minneapolis. My USPS delivery person, however, is endlessly pleasant. What a contrast!

I had a package that was sent to the wrong address. When I tried to correct it and work to get the package in a timely manner by picking it up my self, they sent me on a run around all over town to pick up the package only to find out that it was not where they sent it. When I finally was able to track down where they sent it to I was no longer able to take any more time off to get it my self and they told me there was no way for them to help me, The shift lead lady I was working with told me I should literally take it in the rear. My package will be there the next day and there was nothing more they could do. I guess I did not know why there was a $5 up charge to go with FedEx to get the package the same day but next time I guess that is the way I should go. At least when I work with FedEx they seem to have options to make things work out.

I would never use UPS, unfortunately I purchased an item and the seller used UPS. I still cant get my package because the customer service people either dont know or dont care what they are doing. Since no one was home to sign for it, I requested it to be left for pick up. And since they dont have weekend service, (who does that?) I new I would have to pick it up. Well the fabulous (sarcasm) customer service rep told me that it would be at the location for pick up. I went thru this info 4 times to make sure I could pick it up at the location on the slip. Monday comes, I go to the location, and of course its not there, it was shipped out for delivery again. So going on 4 days since its been delivered and I still cant get it because UPS doesnt know how to do business. I will never, and I mean never, use UPS.

Great place to work if you like being underpaid and getting fired with no warning. Despite being unionized, they pay SIGNIFICANTLY less than FedEx for entry-level package handler positions (theyre the same job, lets be real). Also, they go on and on about how great a place it is for students to work because of their tuition reimbursement program, but fail to tell you that you have to be attending one of their pre-approved schools and enrolled in a pre-approved program to be eligible. Oh, and theyll fire you for missing ONE day of work if you havent hit union seniority yet, even if its school-related...and they have a company-wide "no rehires under any circumstances" policy. Yeah, real student-friendly...

Worst customer service phone line I have ever had. I received a small bill (40 bucks) but the charges on it were for parcels from the previous year. I called up more than 10 times and even had co-workers call customer service and no one would give us a straight answer. So we couldnt approve payment, so they suspended our account, all for questioning a charge. We did ultimately pay the invoice after having a few charges removed (we were right to ask) but now they want us to prepay for everything, just in case they screw up our billing again. Use Spee Dee or FedEx whenever possible.
