Highly unprofessional place. Just like another comment I had read, I was getting my hair dyed as the stylist was doing someone elses hair as well. The color isnt at all what I wanted. I asked for SUBTLE blond highlights. And honestly half of my hair is bleach blond. And its literally like half, like halfway down. Some spots are more blond than the others. And they werent just highlights, she literally has patches of blond in my hair. Looks horrific, I cry everytime I look in the mirror. My appointment was for 4 and didnt get out til about 7, 7 30 ish. Maybe later honestly. Horrible experience. Then I call for a redo. And not only does the lady on the phone NOT TELL me that if its not within 7 days Ill be charged. But when I miss my appointment because of a family emergency, she then decides to tell me. And not even accepting the fact that she did not inform me of this, she tried to argue with me whether she did or not. Im sorry, I work in costumer service and that is the very first big no no. Especially to try and argue. And honestly, the experience. Sucked ass. I Sat There FOR Literally An Hour With Dye In My hair. And for it not even to be fixed, or Id have to pay up some more. Ridiculous. Wasted 140 dollars and will never be going there again .

worst hair cut ever and worst service..... scheduled a quick cut at uptown location of course they set up the appointment as a quick cut and when i got done i found out that my cut wasnt a quick cut was reg cut for $ 41 and they said sorry we dont have quick cut till November and they didnt take responsibility for misinforming me coz they want your money.. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART WAS THE CUT ITSELF, I SWEAR IF I WENT TO FANTASTIC SAM FOR $ 15 THEY WILL DO A MUCH BETTER JOB, I HAD TO GO BACK TO THE SALON TO FIX MY HAIR....THE LADY SHAVED MY HEAD HALF WAY FROM THE BACK AND DIDNT BLENDED MADE ME LOOKED LIKE THE 3 STOOGES , THEN ON THE LEFT SIDE CUT PASSED THE SIDELINE AND NOW I HAVE A GREEN MARK , ON THE TOP ONE SIDE LONG AND OTHER SHORT AND I HAD TO TRIM MY HAIR MYSELF AT HOME WITH A SCISSOR....I TOLD THEM I WILL NOT COME HERE EVER AGAIN AND THEY SAID OHHH WE ARE SORRY WOULD U LIKE TO COME HERE AGAIN TO TRY TO FIX MY HAIR? HOW STUPID HOW DO U FIX A MESSED UP CUT? ALL WHAT I ASKED FOR WAS NUMBER ONE ALL THE WAY AROUND AND NICE TRIM FROM THE TOP, VERY SIMPLE TAKES MAX 5-10 MINUTES TO CUT MY HAIR, 30 MINUTES WITH THE WORST HAIR CUT EVER.......

I have been having my hair cut by Sarah at Moxie for over two years. Prior to Moxie, I bounced around from Aveda stylish cuts to Great Clips buzzings, trying to find something that would work for my budget and head. Sarah was the perfect fit for me and has proven to be an extremely talented stylist with a great sense of humor. Each visit I get to have intelligent and meaningful conversations with a neat lady and get a great haircut. When I tell Sarah something about my life, she remembers it and asks me about it on my next visit. Sarah is supported by a great office manager and fabulous reception desk employees who always greet me by first name when I arrive and honestly seem excited to see me. I don’t feel like I am just another client.

Resa did such an AMAZING job on my hair!!! After the salon I usually go to dyed my hair yellow and orange I was in tears- Moxie got me in right away for a free hair consultation and immediately made me feel better. I was skeptical that anyone could fix it because it was THAT bad but Im so glad I gave them a chance! I have never left a salon feeling that good about myself- Resa was spot on with the hair color and did exactly what I asked for. The staff was also friendly and accommodating, not to mention the salon is extremely cleanly and cozy. I can honestly say that I will never go anywhere else except for Moxie. Thank you Moxie team!!!

Way over a decade of awesome cuts! Ive been going to Moxie since they first opened their Uptown salon. For the past few years I have been getting my haircuts from Jenna at the Grand Ave location. She is super nice, fun to chat with, and a wonderful hairstylist. It seems that everyone working there has a friendly upbeat personality, which really gives Moxie its warm welcoming vibe. Moxie does an amazing job with kids’ hair cuts as well, (after you get the wee ones all spiffed up you can take them out for a special treat at Grand Ole Creamery just up the block).

I absolutely love going to Moxie on Grand. Not only is my stylist Megan an expert in her craft, she has taken my damaged hair to complete health and I didnt have to sacrifice my blond hair (as a natural brunette). This place has a great ambiance too. I love the center tables where the coloring happens, the seporate, quiet and calm shampooing area, and the final styling stations around the parameter (with hanging hair dryers ... so clever). This place is the best and I always leave loving my hair and feeling confident that its healthy.

Visited Moxie for the first time this afternoon. The shop was clean, with an open modern feel. My stylist was Mackenzie, who did an amazing job on my hair! I had wanted to go short for a long time and I brought in a few photos of what I wanted and she nailed it. She was super friendly and excited to do this cut for me. She was also very helpful giving me styling tips and advice, which was greatly appreciated since Id never had my hair cut this short before. I had a great experience and plan to make this my regular salon.

I am blessed and cursed with curly hair. Many people feel they can cut curly hair, many are wrong. I went to Moxie a few weeks ago. I had not just great service, but I felt confident that Megan knew what she was doing, and explained very thoroughly why she was cutting, styling the way she was. I had not been able to wear my hair curly for some time due to bad cuts. It has been wonderful being able to wash and go. Huge time saver. Thank you Moxie for renewed confidence! Jennifer

I had a hair stylist unabashedly belittle me TO MY FACE after my hair stylist shared one of my personal physical accomplishments with her, one that Id worked hard at and was proud of. It was super rude and super uncalled for, and it made the whole rest of the experience awkward. Although Ive been going to my hair stylist for several years, I honestly dont know if Ill go back.

My experience at Moxie has been amazing! About two years ago I began seeing Megan and I can honestly say Ive never been happier with my hair. Not only is the atmosphere at Moxie is casual and relaxing, but Megan has amazing vision and execution. I can literally show up, let her run with her ideas and be beyond happy with the results!
