I have had a mixed experience at the Villager Beauty Salon. I purchased a Crowd Cut for a Mani/Pedi and redeemed it last week. The pedicure was fine. Know that if you go during a time when massages are scheduled you will be stuck with one of those home-style foot spas and not a fancy chair with a spa tub as you might expect for a "spa pedicure." I was excited to try the new CND Shellac gel polish since it is for natural nails, lasts 2 weeks, and comes off your nails like a polish so no damage. However, it seems there should have been more preparation before offering this service. On the first try, my french manicure ($10 extra) looked fine but began peeling off on day 2. The salon was very apologetic and said that my problem was the "least of their worries" with Shellac. They fit me in the same day to fix my nails - very accommodating. Before I went back, I looked at the CND website. The salon did not seem to be following the procedure as listed in the "Step-by-Step" directions (ie not shaking bottles before application, not applying base coat before white tips, applying lotions before polish application). Polish removal for the redo was also not as directed. After maybe a minute under an acetone soaked cotton ball (instead of 10min with the wraps designed for it the process) the polish was pried off my fingernails with an orange stick. This resulted in nail damage and need for filing on the surface of the nail to get residual gel and pealed up parts of the nail off. The 2nd polish application was poor for some reason - white leaching into the flesh colored parts, irregular white lines, etc. The nail stylist was nice and kept saying how she was trying to make up for having to come back. I hadn’t the heart to tell her. I spoke with the owner and she was apologetic and was willing to negotiate a satisfactory resolution. I, however, wont be going back again. So, the people were nice and the pedicure satisfactory but, if you also are hoping for a great Shellac experience, you may want to give them a chance to work out the kinks first. I was told they are seeking additional training in the process.

Absolutely THE worst massage I have ever had in my life, if you can even call it a massage. I dont even know WHAT that was. Would give negative stars if I could!! She basically moved my skin around and made my hair into a birds nest! She "massaged" my jaw to the point my teeth were hurting and kept rolling my ears between her fingers until they were raw! Also not to mention the head rest kept falling out of the holder and my face plunging towards the floor as she just kept laughing and placing back in the holder.... I have never had someone "massage" my elbows and knees so thoroughly either.....weird. At one point I had to tell her to stop cause she was bracing my arm on the side of the table to try to "massage" my biceps harder. I told it hurt and she asked if I was crying and wanted a tissue!!!! I told her my back is my main concern and she barely touched it. She pressed a few pressure points, but mainly poured gallons of oil on me and just moved my skin around. To top it off, her cell phone was in the room and vibrating non stop!!!!!! I thought it could be mine cause there was no way I thought this girl would have her phone on her. We had a sick dog at home and due to the fact it kept ringing over and over, I was all anxious thinking it was my husband calling telling me something was wrong. Nope, just her phone. Like the other reviewer, left with the same soreness and stiffness I came with, but now sticky all over with oil and awesome birds nest to brush through. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!!!!

Im not typically the type to really ever post and write a review. BUT this practically person definitely needs to hear about this. The massage therapist her name is Amanda ( a very rude black lady) I am by fair not a raciest person ( my best friend is African American ) Im unsure if she was having a bad day or just normally treats her clients this way. Horrible services, the salon its self is very crowded and clustered. Not much room to wait for your turn, hardly any lobby to lounge around in. Now this is my third massage I have received in my life , and this one has by far been the ABSOLUTE WORST. I like to try new places and this one I would NOT recommended to ANYONE. Now my massage, Mind you Amanda didnt ask me not one single question. Horrible customer service skills , hardly spoke to me. But besides the point, my massage was awful. My 10 year old sister could have down just as good as a job. She literally would just rob lotion on my back in the exact same spot. All I can say is my skin feels very massaged. As far as my muscles, not sure she knew what one was. I also dont need my molars and knees massaged. No thanks.

Dont buy the Groupon, youll never be able to get an appointment!! I called the beginning of May and couldnt get an appointment until July 6. They then called 6 weeks later to tell me there was a scheduling conflict and my appointment needed to be rescheduled. They have very limited evenings openings, which isnt real convenient for, well, anyone that has a job or children!! Not impressed. Ive contacted Groupon for a refund and will not be giving my business to this salon. Dont advertise a Groupon if you dont have the staff to support the influx of clew clients!!!

Ive always been more than happy with my results at the Villager, whether it was just a cut and blow dry or cut, color and style. Laura, the owner, has been doing my hair for about 20 years and I cant imagine anyone else doing it. In fact she and her staff did my entire wedding party when I got married. Ive also had a manicure done there a couple times, and many perns (regular and spiral). Prices are comparable to other salons. Im totally satisfied with their services.

Fantastic- Im a repeat customer! I work with Caitlin who is very sweet and considerate. She makes sure that she understands what I want before she starts, and has offered a few tips to get it done at a cheaper rate- when i wouldve just paid more for the same thing somewhere else. She also gets great advice for caring for my hair between appointments. I have had a GREAT experience every time and have gone probably half-a-dozen times. I would highly recommend!!!

Not good, not good at all. I thought the massage therapist was pleasant enough. But her phone went off a few times (ringer on) during my massage. I had told her ahead of time that my glutes and quads were most sore/tight and she barely touched them. Instead she stayed focused mainly on the same spot on my upper back for the majority of the time, which wasnt bad, it just wasnt what I needed.

Im giving it three stars because the therapist was so friendly, but it was probably the worst massage I have ever had. I basically paid for someone to put massage on my body and play with my scalp. If I wanted that I could have found someone on Tinder to do that for free. I left with the same pain and knots as I came in with but I was $50 poorer. I wont return.
