First time coming here the stylist acted like she knew exactly what I wanted yet did the exact opposite of what I was going for. I showed pictures and gave a clear description of what I wanted. She obviously wasnt really listening to me. My foils werent even on securely and I had foils literally falling out of my hair so my hair would have bleached better if the foils would have been on correctly. I asked for water after a long period of sitting and she never got me any. After I left and got in the car I wanted to cry because I expected going to a nicer salon who has great reviews they would have done a good job so my expectations were high. I felt like I didnt even know what I paid for. Thankfully the second time going another girl fixed it and made it look decent and I was happy with it although I wanted it mostly blonde like I told them both to begin with. Both stylist tried to steer me away of what I was really wanting. Its my money I want it how I planned. Overall my experience here wasnt the best and I decided I wont be going back. Mabey they just do best on cuts and certain hair colors.

If you are looking for a salon that will be impolite to you on the phone, rush your appointment to fill as many spots in one day as possible, and be generally discourteous with you, go somewhere else. The people at Valeria Boss are the most accommodating people you could ever wish to meet, even when you call for an appointment on the phone. They always schedule plenty of time for my appointments. When I arrive for my appointments, I am always greeted with a smile and offered a drink. Tara, my stylist, then takes me back into the Lather Lounge where i get a good scalp, temple, and neck massage for a good long while. She then takes her time styling to whatever i want. The last time I went in for an appointment, I was getting ready to go to the airport 3 hours away and fly for another 6 hours. She made sure my hair would last until midnight so I would look fabulous when my boyfriend picked me up from the airport. Now THAT is customer service. The ladies at this salon make getting my hair cut seem like a pampering privilege instead of a thrice yearly chore.

Best salon in Springfield! Ive been going to ABVS for at least 7 years now and hate going anywhere else. Every time I go my stylist is so friendly and excited to see me; they always have fresh beverages, great ideas on hair styles when Im not sure, and fantastic color; not to mention great Paul Mitchell products (including for pets!), a lather lounge for head and neck massages, and eyebrow waxing. :0) The stylists are extremely knowledgeable about latest fashions, trends, colors; they are the best stylists in Springfield, MO hands down. I go to Valerie and Christie lately but have also gone to Karen and Hannah and they are all fantastic at finding the perfect color, cutting my hair beautifully, and making the experience an enjoyable one. I always leave ABVS feeling like a celebrity. I HIGHLY recommend AVBS for everything from routine cuts and colors to events - Valerie did my hair for my wedding and it turned out gorgeous; I still get comments on how beautiful my hair was and I was married 4 years ago. I love this place and the staff. #Hookedforlife!!

My hair looks fanstastic. My scalp not so much. I loved Tiffany my stylist super job on my hair. The girl helping her, not so much. I had INK (red) put on my hair in the lather lounge and she litterally just put it on my scalp!!! I now have to walk around with a headband cus you can see all the color on my scalp. Looks like im wearing a wig. I did this look for my wedding. Good thing I decided to do this two weeks before instead of two days before or I wouldnt be having pictures taken. Honestly if I could have one person on my hair the whole time id go back. But because you have more then one an experienced and nonexperienced I will not be going back. If i wanted that id go to a school. For 150 dollars i should not have my scalp red and brown (alot not just a little) colored my hair since 14 yrs old, im 34. I know what i should and shouldnt have. But great job to the stylist i had

I have been Waaaaay overdue for a new look and I recently moved to this area. I took a chance by coming here since I never actually got a personal referral (Im just too new). Anyway Tristie ended up being my stylist. Let me tell you she is OUTSTANDING!! I have never had an experience like this. I almost felt guilty since my husband was working and the kids were in school. Then I thought about how much I do for them......like I said ALMOST felt guilty:) I had the best time and was treated like royalty. The best compliment was from my husband, not only did he LOVE my new haircut he made plans for us after the kids go to sleep (woo hoo). I only have one regret, I didnt take a before and after shot...oh well, maybe next time. Thank you SO much Valeria for being such a great mentor and THANK YOU Tristie for my transformation!!

Two words....Lathering Lounge. Where else do you get this kind of pampering? Head and neck massage, new product usage, great conversation, soft music, scented candles, warm towels, talented stylists and I was never rudely spoken to. I have been going to AVBS for over 6 months now and it is by far the most impressive salon I have ever been to. My stylist Marri is very personable and talented. Dont be fooled by the level she is on, this talented young lady is beyond professional and quite an impressive artist. Anyone can cut hair, few people can make it a work of art and Marri is certainly one of the few. I have even inquired about coming in just for the signature head massage after a long day, and yes they will do that too. A business truly built around the client. Its a beautiful thing.

AVBS is AMAZING. Everything about this place will blow your mind. Shai and Blair are straight out ballin, and can fix, treat, and make beautiful any ole rag of hair, take mine for example. I go in looking like I just got out of a back alley fight, I come out look like Miss America. The staff is awesome, clearly this is an environment where people thrive and enjoy what they are doing, which in turn puts out excellent results. And dont even get me started on the Lather Lounge. I tried to convince my husband to put one in our bathroom, but he wasnt about that life. So if I want the most luxurious shampooing, conditioning, and head massaging of my life, I have to book an appointment. If you choose any other salon, you deserve the bad haircut youre about to get.

I was referred to AVBS as a great place to have my hair and makeup down for some photos my friend and I was having taken. From the momemt I called them, they were professional and very responsive to my needs. The photos were being taken on a Sunday, so Jessica, their receptionist, was very helpful and timely in getting back to me with a few girls who were willing to come in on a Sunday. The girl we used, Rachel, showed up early and was very helpful and did an amazing job on our hair and makeup, we def felt great and confident with our new look! I would recommend AVBS to everyone, they will get great, professional service. And on top fo that, the salon itself is awesome.
