They performed average work on my Audi when I brought it in to have the brake pads and rotors replaced. They didnt break anything but then again it is a simple job for any auto repair shop. The one star rating stems from the unnecessary and unapproved topping-off of my oil. No, it was not low. They decided to top it off anyways and charge me $10. On another occasion, a relative of mine brought a car in for routine maintenance (Im intentionally being vague here) and they replaced a turn signal bulb without prior approval and charged $20 for it. First, even dealerships ask for approval to do something outside of the original scope of work (and even if they do something extra they dont charge you for it). Second, in the grand scheme of things this is not a big deal but 10 bucks here and 20 bucks there and this shop can really rake in the dough. Unfortunately this reinforces the stigma that auto repair shops carry of being greedy and dishonest. I would look elsewhere.

I have a 1997 BMW that I have serviced at Metric. They do high quality work for a fair price. In 2014 I was told that my brake booster was worn out. I was told I did not have to fix it right then but could wait. I really appreciated being given the option to wait, I had the work done the following spring, after it came out of storage. I was told by other friends that I would need to replace the clutch at 100K. When I passed that number I asked about the clutch. They drove it and said I had plenty of clutch left and not to be concerned. I am a real fan of Metric Auto Works, recently I had a brake light failure on the dash. I stopped in to make an appointment, and they replaced the bulb immediatetly. I am a dedicated custormer because of these events.

If you have an import, without a doubt, this is the place to bring it for upkeep and repairs. The people at Metric Auto will treat you good and youll get top quality work at an honest and fair price. When I had my Audi, they serviced that, and now they take care of my Beetle convertible and I wouldnt think of bringing it anywhere else. Give these guys a chance - I promise you will continue to come back to them. It can be hard to find a a mechanic who wont rip you off and take advantage of your trust. Look no more - this is the place to go! Seriously!

I have been using Metric for 8+ years. VERY pleased with the quality of the workmanship. Prices are fair and well explained prior to performance of the work. I also appreciate the personal relationship and courtesies extended to me over these years ... something I have never have received from any dealer over 35 years of car ownership. After having a problem with may car being diagnosed incorrectly at Metric they stepped up to the plate and hit it long! They corrected their mistake and made things right! In this day and age it is hard to find a company that will swallow their pride, ego and think about their customers needs! That is exactly what they did! I would highly recommend them not only on the basis of Auto Repair but also business ethics! Good job Chris!

Everything a mechanic should be! Ive been taking our fleet of Volkswagens to Metric for decades and they have performed everything from minor upkeep to major rebuild an engine type work. They have always been honest and take the time to find the solution which best fits our finances. They know what they are doing and back their work up so you know your car is well taken care of. Ive been to Metric many times over the years and have had them work on a whole lot of oddball import cars. Volvos, VWs, Porsches, Toyotas, Hondas. They always do the work for me flawlessly and at a good price. The service is excellent too. Ive referred many of my friends there and theyve always been happy too. 5 Stars!

This is my go-to shop as I try to squeeze every bit of life left in my quarter-million mile BMW when I cant do the job myself. Their labor has never disappointed, they provide good, thorough, and reasonable recommendations on repairs, and they are never push when I turn down non-essential service.
