I feel very small and like my time has no value when I am in the Woodbury post office. I sit and wait in line for several minutes, while the line moves painstakingly slow. I feel also like I am patronizing this "business" where as I could just as easily deliver my own mail.. It bothers me that so many people agree and you can tell that others are annoyed with the slowness of this office. There is one guy who helped my get my post office box address changed, and he was swift and did not spend time chatting or forgetting what I was in the office for. The second lady spent way too much time talking about how she spends so much time lazing about in front of the computer and that she doesnt even use nail polish any more. I said ok and waited for my packages. and my address change. Well the address change went through but my keys do not work for my mail box. By the way the phone number listed for this location is wrong and it is disconnected. I also emailed usps about an address change and they did not respond causing me to have to go in to this annoying facility. Typically I am not so negative on my comments but this place is a rediculous scene. They need to change up their way of business and get people in and out a bit quicker if the internet arena is not fitting for postal services.

Since 2012, (this is August, 2017) Long line, omg omg omg "NO sense of urgency". VERY BAD, BAD BAD, avoid!!! Print everything online and just drop off (then run! Run for your life)! !!!! Or use the automated post machine. The staffs are annoyed, indifferent, and unhappy. Do NOT approach the staff unless you are mailing something international! Once in a blue moon youll meet a cheerful staff. So, Fill in the required (international) forms (small/large both, if you fill the wrong form, youll "again" waste time) and approach them. Check online price before they make you pay $45 ++++ for one shoe mailing to Canada! This is a scary place if you have to face the staffs. Pros: 1) Large area with two automated postal machine (wow!), 2) Enough space for you to stay and package the mail. 3) Spacious area for the rental PO boxes. 4) Convenient drive through drop off, 5) Clean and tidy, 6) Large glass windows allow ample sunlight, 7) Enough parking spots, 8) Conveniently located by the street, 9) Purchase items are in stock. For example: Scotch tape, envelope, padded envelope, and all the items you might need to mail a package, 10) Sells cute greeting cards, 11) Several options to drop off your letters and packages.

sent my daughter there today to buy 100 stamps; after WAITING in line; the lady behind the counter yelled "I can help whoever is next", she walked to the counter and the teller said "what do you want", she asked for 100 stamps; the teller threw a roll on the counter rung up the order said "thats 44 dollars; your card goes there". She was never asked if she wanted any of the designed stamps; if there was anything else that she needed; never thanked for her time that she spent there. There is only ONE gentleman that works the counter at the woodbury post office that is so very nice and friendly. Everyone else there is so grumpy; they need to be glad; thankful and whatever that they still have jobs; I am sure there are many people that would love to have the job they have. They need to do something with the tellers at this Post Office. No wonder so many go to Cottage Grove when they have to go inside at least you get a friendly smile!!

This branch is very close to my house so I almost exclusively use this post office. I have had some longish waits, but nothing unexpected - and nothing different than usual visits to other branches. There are longer lines during commonly busy times : traditional lunch and after work periods, and much shorter waits in between. Ive never run into a rude employee or one who was inept and I have a somewhat complicated situation with a few "special" or extra needs. I can only speak for my personal experiences, but all have been just fine. I will day that a previous address had me going to the North St Paul branch and that one truly had stellar employees during that time. I cant reasonably expect every branch to be above average, can I. Theyre not like the children of Lake Woebegon for crying out loud!

I am updating my review. I am so sick and tired of not getting my mail. I was to have a package delivered last week, and they took it to the wrong address! Thankfully that person sent it back the next day, but my package still sits in limbo. I caught the mail lady on this week to ask her what was going on, and of course she didnt have a clue. It has since sat somewhere the last four days, with no one bothering to deliver it to the correct address. Ive called, no answer. Going into the post office is as bad as everyone else says. Typically only one or two people working so there is always a line, that takes 20-30 minutes to get to the front. This is by far the worst city for USPS, and is the reason why Ive switched to UPS (when possible) for packages. At least theyre reliable.

Found out the UPS Store in Tamarack can ship USPS packages. Never going back to that horrible place called the Woodbury Post Office again!!! Terrible service. I hate going there. Staff is always rude. The two tabs on my box needed to be taped requiring two pieces of at most 3 inches of tape. I asked him for some as he had a large roll in front of him and his rude response was that I can purchase tape, pack my box at the packing station and get back in line. Like I have done something wrong. Funny how the UPS and Fedex stores have no problem providing taping help. Drove to the UPS Store at Tamarack and found out they can ship for the USPS. Also no problem taping up the box for me. Never stepping foot in that building again.

The employee that delivers my mail to my townhome told the manager of the Woodbury, MN that I go by another last name (I have not had that name since Aug. 2015, when I filed a formal name update with the office.) A package I was expecting yesterday was returned to the sender. When I called the post office to find out why they returned it, when I have been getting mail at my townhome since I purchased it in July 2015, he said he would make sure that I would get all mail and packages going forward. I appreciate his intervention on this, but I dont appreciate that a USPS employee gave the manager false information causing USPS to return my expected package to the sender. I now have to re-order the product and absorb additional cost.

Heres another Woodbury Post Office story. Lines always seem to be long - about 15-20 minutes - and no one seems to move any faster behind the counter to try to reduce line length. A few years ago a decal showed up on the front door saying "Service in 5 minutes or less" or something similar. I thought "Great - this will be an improvement!" I then stood in line for typical 15-20 minutes. I thought "Well, they must be working on processes to improve." Same thing next week...and the next week. I asked to speak to the postmaster and asked why nothing had changed to meet their new goal of 5 minutes or less. The next week they had done something about it - THEY TOOK DOWN THE SIGN.
