So the day that I was moving from Maryland (about 2 hours south of Washington DC) I had an unfortunate event happen where I got backed into while driving through a parking lot. Car was still in driving shape, but with a 3 day deadline to haul ass to St. Louis, MO to start a new job and a car full of personnel belongings, I knew that I couldnt deal with this immediately and started out towards Missouri. Having filed my insurance claim in MD, but informing USAA that I would be getting the work done in MO was difficult, but not impossible. They sent me a list of about 50 auto-body shops within the general radius of where I was staying (St. Peters) at the time. Not knowing anything about the general St. Louis area or good body shops, etc., I ventured online to do my own research and see if I could find one that suited my needs (which is why I am writing this, to possibly help someone out in the future). After combing through what felt like 100s of Auto-Body shops online websites, i narrowed it down to about 3 potential suitors. Abra-Auto Body and Glass had done repairs on a previous vehicle I had owned while I was out in Seattle, WA and I figured Id start with them since I knew their pedigree as a company. Upon walking into Abra and speaking with Desiree and assessing the damage, cost, time of repair and when they could start, I walked out of there knowing that I did not even have to go looking anywhere else. They got me in almost immediately and within about 5-6 days, the vehicle was done. This was a good amount of structural damage and paint that was accomplished in little to no time. I was so impressed with their efficiency, attention to detail and courtesy, not to mention the daily updates via text on the progress of my vehicle. (I literally got a text when the car was going in for dent removal, paint booth, test drive, etc.) As discussed with my insurance company, I got my deductible back about a week after my pick-up and 4 months later, the car still drives great, looks great and its all thanks to the great people at Abra. I would give this place 12 stars if I could, but it only lets me do 5 max. Thanks again Abra, Desiree and all the other professionals behind the scenes making things happen.
