Awful. Literally the worst post office to work with. Ive had to deal with about 3-4 post offices in the last 2 weeks in regards to a different package being shipped to my parents house. This is probably the last time I will have anything delivered through USPS because their service is just awful. At least the other post offices tried to find it and worked with me and communicated and were very helpful in fixing their error. But this one...not at all. Just got off of the phone with them to find out about my package that was tracked as being out to delivered to me on the 9th. I was very nice on the phone with this woman and was inquiring about tracking and she immediately gave me a speech about how their other center gives them the mail to deliver out etc. So she started off her end of the conversation with an excuse before I was even accusing or anything of the sort. She then asked for my tracking number, of which I gave it to her. She repeated the same info I gave her which was that this package was tracked as out for delivery to my address by their facility, but then stated they must have placed it in the wrong bin and is lost "i guess" and that it MIGHT pop back in to the system eventually. I asked (nicely) who I could speak with at the other facility that gives them the mail to deliver to find out what happened with my package as this was something I ordered for my wedding coming up. She refused to give me that info and asked when my wedding was and then proceeded to say "It might pop up in the system before then, but it looks like its lost so you need to contact the vendor you got it from and ask them to send you a new one.". At that point I ended the call. What I ordered was hand made and customized...so i cant just contact a vendor and tell them its lost and they just send me a new one without knowing more info other than "they think its lost" and also expect them to make another one in time for my wedding. This item was ordered a month ago. I have 2 weeks...so "hopefully" it pops back up in the system soon or I will be contacting the supervisor because "I guess its lost" isnt a sufficient response. I dont believe ive heard that excuse from ANY customer service or company without a follow up response of doing their job and finding it and figuring out what happened in the first place to cause this delay. It blows my mind that anyone with a job would think a good response to someone is "i guess its lost...buy a new one" and think the receiver would be totally chill with that.

This place is a bountiful cornucopia of incompitence, laziness, dereliction, and rudeness. If you are a masochist or a glutton for punishment, the USPS in Hazlewood, MO is going to be your Disneyland. I not so recently bought something on ebay from some poor soul that obviously has no choice but to deal with them. My package was tracked straight to there, where it was either relocated into someones pocket or placed into a transdimentional worm hole never to be seen again. For the first few days I thought maybe there was a glitch in their computer system or the weather had impeded delivery times. By day 11.5 I was tired of waiting so I tried calling them. This place sucks so badly they wont even answer the phone, you get a voice mail asking you to leave your info and they say you will be called back. Guess what, they didnt. So, on day 12.5 I called again and repeated the exact same process. 2.5 hours later I get a call back and the person so obviously inconvenienced by having to return my call let me know that: 1. My package was actually not sorted at the location the tracking number leads to, but rather, at a secret mystery location elsewhere in Hazlewood, MO. And 2. They would not give me the phone number to the location (this was told to me before I could even ask for it). However, all hope is not lost. The person told me that she had passed on my information to someone there and maybe they would get back to me. So here I sit in limbo waiting for some supervisor at a USPS black site to wake up from their mid-morning desk nap and call me so I can be innondated with more excuses. What an awesome way to conduct business. Do yourself a favor, if anything you purchase will be routed through the St. Louis MO area, you are better off going through UPS, FedEx, DHL, courtier pigeon, or just have them tie it to a helium filled balloon and let it go, you will get your package a lot sooner with those choices than you ever will dealing with the USPS in Hazlewood, MO.

This is the last place my package "left" according to tracking and its been 6 days!! I think the workers stole my package!! I dont even know how it went from MA to PA to MO??? to get to NY like they drove right past New York. Hazelwood postal employees accused of stealing packages Sean West Sean West, a former employee at the U.S. Postal Service facility in Hazelwood, was accused of involvement in a conspiracy to steal packages. Jun 16, 2015 ST. LOUIS • Four current or former employees of a Hazelwood postal distribution center and the girlfriend of one of the men have been indicted in federal court here and accused of stealing electronics, drugs and other items from the mail. The employees employed a process called “over-labeling,” where they created a new address label to replace the mails existing label, then used that new label to direct the package to an address of their choosing, the indictment says. The ring targeted packages that they thought contained electronics, marijuana, clothing, pottery and “personal effects.” In all, at least 33 packages were sent to seven addresses in St. Louis and St. Charles counties, the indictment claims.

THE WORST!!! Good luck on getting someone to answer the phone and if they do then you will be pawned off to someone else that is not even in that city! The other crappy part to all of this is that if your post office is in another city they will just tell you that they have NO phone numbers and they can not call information. WHO CALLS INFORMATION ANYMORE THESE DAYS, HELLO JUST USE THE COMPUTER SITTING IN FRONT OF YOU. The kicker is when I checked status of my package it said and still does say that it will be delivered on the 16th, today is the 20th. Still waiting for the delivery. Status shows that it arrived on the 12th in Hazelwood, MO. and is ready to depart on the 13th. It came from another MO. post office on the 11th. but it still sits in Hazelwood, MO. post office and has never left and no one seems to know what happened or where it went. Word to the wise, if you are purchasing something make sure it does not hit this post office. Best advise just use another form of shipping. I would not give a star at all but I have no choice. This is one gift that will not make it under the tree. May God Bless Everyone and have a Merry Christmas.

Left my ID by accident in michigan while visiting back home (my permanent residence). My aunt mailed it back to me here in illinois where I attend college via priority mail on 11-2-2016 (shes a mail carrier by the way). So my address was triple checked and correct. The package left michigan on the 2nd and arrived in Hazelwood MO on the 3rd. Today is the 18th of November and I still dont have my mail. I tracked my package and all it say is arrived to hazlewood MO / still in transit to destination. It was scheduled to arrive on 11.5.2016. I have filed a complaint with no response. Im praying no one took my identification out of the package. Otherwise Ill probably be a victim of identity theft. I really hope an active investigation is being done. The staff at this place are stealing peoples mail and no one is doing anything about it. No stars. I hate thieves!!!! If my package ever arrives Ill update this review.
