Im really not sure how shes managed to garner as many positive reviews as she has. Shes a huge selling agent in Lake Saint Louis, but Im not sure how. Our realtor had the displeasure of working with her, or lack thereof from Evelyns part. We started off wanting to see a property to which we were told that we werent allowed to see the home until after 6PM (keep in mind this was in February, so that meant viewing the property in the dark). Fine, whatever, we went along with it. After seeing the house a second time the following weekend, We decided to put in an offer. The home has been on the market for almost two years, with one price reduction, and she had the nerve to tell us that since it was a "lake property" (its not, you can barely see the lake with bare trees) that our offer "better be a good one". Once again being super unprofessional. With our offer submitted we offered them 24 hours to respond to us. 26 hours later, after our realtor tried to get ahold of her by email and voice call, she responded via text, saying that the sellers were going to submit a counter offer in a couple of hours. Cool, irritating that she didnt answer earlier to let us know, but again, whatever. We had some back and forth for almost a week. We were very fast to respond in a timely manner while Evelyn wouldnt ever answer her phone or emails. Our realtors BROKER couldnt even get ahold of her. Finally the deal fell through because the sellers/Evelyn decided to give us 2 HOURS TO RESPOND to their final counter (which was an absolute joke). I was good at this point to just let it go, but we had to deal with Evelyn yet again, later on. A month or so later, we wanted to see another one of Evelyns listings. Our realtor calls and Evelyn says she doesnt have the number to call the owners to ask if we could see the property. We had to contact a different service to see the home. Once again, super frustrating. We finally got into the home, a few hours later, no thanks to "Sunshine Realty". Finally, right before we found our dream home (luckily it wasnt her listing), we saw ANOTHER listing we wanted to see by Evelyn. It was an off chance that we found it, and just happened to drive by and see her sign in the yard. Our realtor searched for it on Maris with no luck. She tried calling Evelyn on two different phone numbers with no reply, so I decided to call and she if she would answer a different phone number. No luck, ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON. We sat in our cars out in front of the home, waiting to see if she would reply to our calls. I finally decided to text her and inquire about the house. Her reply was short, with little explanation. "Its not on Maris and doesnt have an MLS number". I asked if we could see it since it was vacant and had a digital lockbox that could be opened by our agent. I got a very snippy text back "No, I never got any phone calls from your agent". She DID receive phone calls from our agent as it was in her phones history. She is quite possibly the least helpful realtor I have ever encountered, and if she were my selling agent I would fire her faster than she could return a phone call. Shes extremely snippy and rude to people who could possibly put food on her table. Selling homes is obviously not something shes very interested in, considering her attitude and lack of punctuality. I hope folks that are considering her, read my review as I dont feel shes the best choice for selling or buying. There are a lot better Realtors out there. Realtors that actually want to sell houses and not just string people along for a ridiculous game of phone tag, and weeks of negotiations that should only take a couple days. Good luck to anyone on their home search and I hope you never have to deal with Sunshine Realty!

Hi Cass, we are sorry you have not been fortunate enough to use our services. We currently have 60+ listings with about 65% of those homes under contract with happy clients and more going under contract every day. We have a ton of reviews from OUR clients that have used our services that have walked away very happy. I understand that the multiple offer process is complicated and frustrating and it sounds like you had a pretty rough time during your purchase process. However, a lot of conflicts that you discuss in your review are not even up to Sunshine Realty. For example, if a seller does not wish to show their home until after 6 p.m., we cannot control that. Due to our 60+ listings, we also use a third party service called Centralized Showing that your agent should have called and scheduled for you. We also have Monday through Friday office hours where we have an office administrator, Dana, readily available to answer your calls. On Saturdays, Evelyn and Ashley are running around through multiple appointments on the busiest day of the week for showings and that is why most likely why you could not reach her personal cell. Both the office and her cell are on the sign. We also have office hours on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm that way no one is inconvenienced. As the SELLERS agent, we must do what our sellers ask us to in order to fulfill our due diligence to provide our sellers with our top notch service that we are known for. Again, we are sorry that you are upset, but it sounds like a lot of your issues are with sellers in general and/or your agent. Best of luck in the future and we wish you nothing but the best. If you are selling your home Sunshine Realty will save you many thousands of dollars. Do the research and you will see for yourself. I have sold 2 homes with Sunshine Realty and was so pleased that I have referred Evelyn to 3 others, including family, who have saved thousands each with the same MLS listing and posting on all of the big realty selling sites. Professional pictures with an even better description of the home. She knows her business and is a true professional. If you are buying a home read on. We were extremely specific on what we wanted and location. Over the course of 1.5 years we probably had Evelyn show us at least 50 homes and Evelyn never pushed us and was always ready to show us homes. We had pretty much given up and had not contacted Evelyn for a couple of months when for the first time ever, Evelyn called and said she had found our dream home that she was going to list based upon how well she knew us. Sure enough, she had, and we had an accepted contract the next day. We cannot recommend Evelyn and the staff of Sunshine Realty any higher. They are prompt and professional and it is no mystery why they sell so many homes.

Before we put our house up for sale, we spoke to several other agencies that we felt did not have our best interest in mind. It seemed that they were looking to make a quick buck off of us. When we met with Evelyn, she listened to our particular situation and gave us sound advice that paid off greatly. She didnt try and pressure us, but advised us on how to get the most from our home. She sold our house so quickly that we needed to find a new one faster than planned. She dedicated herself to showing us as many places as we wanted and never pushed us into something that didnt fit our needs. As a matter of fact, She told us not to just settle because of our time constraints, that if we didnt find the right house in time, she could help us with a rental. The other thing that impressed me was the way she was always available, day or night to answer questions. She doesnt sugar coat anything, but always told us what we needed to hear. We have bought and sold homes in the past, but Sunshine Realty has a customer for life! Evelyn is an amazing agent and my husband and I highly recommend her.
