Do not sign any contract with this facility, they will never let you out and bill you for their oversights. The management says one thing and then does another. We moved over a year ago to a location without an Anytime Fitness and reported this to the management who said that they would cancel our membership... Here we are a year later and they are still billing us and were taking money directly from our account until a couple months ago! When we addressed the local office first off you get an answering machine and no return call until you e-mail with a cc to the corporate office, then they said they "dont recall"... The corporate office says they wont cancel the membership without the local centers confirmation of the cancellation. They claim to have not record of it, yet they have our new address and the only way they could have gotten that is with the information we provided when we cancelled… Long story short they are taking us for over $500 in membership fees for a membership we have not used nor had any access to use in over a year! The entire company from the franchise to the corporate office has been money grubbing and unprofessional with no consumer relation skills at all! I had a much better experience with the local Liberty community center which actually has better rates and machines anyways! They say the pen is mightier than the sword, if by writing this review we save just one person the head ache and hours of phone calls and e-mails this company has caused we will be happy with the outcome of this transaction. It is not about the money so much as the principal of the matter. We hope that no one gives this company a penny of their money until they show that they have fixed their poor customer relations skills. Good Luck in finding a good fitness center.

I tried to give this location another chance. Maybe the "meat head" read my last review posting because the "meat head" tried to wave and smile to me when I came in this time. I just looked at him and went to change out of my office attire to go work out; all while shaking my head to the locker room/shower room. I guess coming into the gym wearing jeans and a t-shirt isnt the look they want. During my work out, a guy (who was taking personal training from him) was wheeled out of the gym on a stretcher and into an ambulance. Now I question his ability to understand and respect a persons natural limits in the name of his desire and muscle-boudness during his lessons. Maybe he does not want any one not looking as fit as him in the gym. Now his gym is secure by way of his running off people and killing off his students. The second time I went into the gym, some meat head demanded my ID b/c he was "Worried that the expensive equipment may get stolen". I have been a member of Anytime Fitness for several years and was simply exercising my right to "One Membership, nationwide access; any gym". Sadly some profiler was more intent to run off happy health nuts than run a gym where people feel welcome, and want to return. Plus one of the trainers claims to have been a professional Baseball player and has a prestigious degree is physics, but one can not find where he played on any web site. Plus he is a trainer at a little Mid_West gym. Even the wost players have Wikipedia pages... Makes me think he padded a resume and didnt make very good grades with that degree.

Sorry, but I feel compelled to post a review on here for Anytime Fitness in Liberty, Missouri (MO). I am member #2 and my wife #3 overall of this location, so I know what I’m talking about. ========================================== Tim (& other negative reviewers), What or who are you talking about? Willie is the only possible "meat head" trainer, and I would train with him or Jonathan any day of the week if money allowed. He played college baseball, but Ive never heard him insinuate that he played professional ball. Its funny how these bad reviews often start out with "this was my first visit..." or "during my 2nd visit", or "my only visit". We are so quick to judge -- simply crazy. As long as you are not looking for a facility that has daycare, or staffed hours during the night and weekends, then Anytime Fitness is great. You get in, do your business, and get out. Simple as that. 4 out of 5 stars because I do believe their customer service and response time could be improved, but staff changes have occurred since I last had to deal with these matters so perhaps they got ironed out. Staff is VERY helpful, from novice to “meat heads” alike.

Love this gym and the staff. I know the trainer that Tim is talking about and cannot believe the accusations and uneducated opinion that he gives about someone he does not know. Willie is one of the nicest guys I know! He has helped me lose over 75lbs and changed the lives of many others at the gym too. He has been training for over 6 years and knows how to train all fitness levels, not just bodybuilders. As to the comment about Willie padding his resume,...he does have a physics degree & a 3.9gpa from NWMSU. He DID play professional baseball for DeAngelis in Gotto, Italy. It seems that Tim is a little insecure and feels it to be okay to stereotype Willie b/c he is a bodybuilder. I think if you meet Willie you will see he is very smart and a great trainer!

Ive been a member for several months and never had any issues. I was happy with my former facility except for the hours and the location. Anytime Fitness meets my needs. I never have to wait for equipment, other members are not rude, Ive been greeted several times by a trainer/staffer as I was leaving, and ultimately, its a comfortable place to workout if you have a busy lifestyle and live nearby. Not every place is right for every person, but I think you should check out the facility for yourself before judging based on the negative reviews.

I travel throughout the Midwest for work and visit a different Anytime Fitness M-F, give or take the occasional repeat stay. Ive been to over 50 Anytime locations and can POSITIVELY say this is one of the nicest facilities. Great atmosphere AND equipment. It would take the cake as " best" but I have to give that title to Grinnell, Iowa.

I have been a member of the AF Liberty location for almost 2 years now & have had nothing but great experiences with the gym. The staff & members are very friendly & considerate. The gym is small, but I really like that about it & have never had a problem being able to use the equipment that I need. I recommend this gym to anyone.

I have had nothing but good experiences at this gym. It isnt a big meat head gym which is nice and there arent any creepy members that just come to the gym to check out the ladies like other gyms ive been to. The staff has always been very nice every time I see them.

30 day money back guarantee?? Not true! They said they put my money back on my card and its been 3 days and its still not there. I called and left a message and they have not returned my call at all. I dont recommend going here unless you want to be ripped off.
