Working in the auto industry I understand how insurance companies work. My wifes Edge received hail damage and we took it and had the State Farm people look at it. She took the vehicle in to have it looked at again at Wicklunds only to have them tell her to bring it back on April 18th for an appointment and that they would call State Farm back out to reestimate the damage with them. I thought that the original appointment I made and my wife showed up for would be more then "yep you have damage, come back in April". I understand that there may have been some small dents missed, by myself and the original inspector, but when the customer says that this is what they want repaired and thats it because they cant be without the vehicle for a week or more one would think that they would want the business. We try to send business your way even after having my truck repaired by you and having my bed decals put on in the incorrect position. I talked to Jason when I realized that the placement was off and he said that he would order a new one, that was over a year ago and I have yet to have anyone call me to say that the decal is in. Fell free to contact me if you would like to resolve these issues, you have my numbers. Chris Gerald contacted me and discussed the miscommunication in the appointments. Upon finding out that they do not employ a PDR tech in house but have one that has worked with them for many years also sheds some light on the wait time. So between them wanting to wait for the insurance adjuster to come out and inspect the vehicle with them and having to work around the PDR techs schedule I can see how it would take longer to get the car serviced. They ordered another decal for the truck and installed it while I waited on my lunch. I cant remember the ladies name that my wife and I talked to , but I hope that her service is better in the future. The receptionist, Gerald, Rochelle and Jason were great to deal with and would deal with them directly again. Changed the review from 1 to 3.

From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted warmly by Gabrielle at the front desk, and made to feel like anything but just another customer. In a world where businesses as these appear to crank out as many folks as they can, treating them like numbers only, placing an emphasis on volume and dollar signs, this experience was unique from the onset. The entire process was made personalized, with an emphasis on me and my truck. The experience was heightened even more however, once I started working with my estimator Jason. Jason was beyond thorough in every facet of my claim, explaining everything he saw, and what he had planned in restoring my vehicle to pre-accident condition. What Jason failed to ever know, was that I am an adjuster and knew how the process should work from A-Z, while expecting to see some shortcuts taken by the Wicklunds staff. What I found however was just the opposite. Jason was so diligent in his handling, outlining his thinking in every step of my claim, just as though I was clueless to the process. He was courteous, polite, professional, and eager to please. I knew going into the process that I would get superior workmanship, as I had had repairs completed with them before (albeit years ago). What I failed to anticipate however was just how seamless the process would go, and how committed the Wicklunds staff would be to making me feel like their most prized customer. Without question, a customer for life has been earned. If you are in the Kansas City metropolitan area, do yourself a favor and trust these folks with your vehicle. Its worth the drive, and truly the standard for businesses of any endeavor.

I do not normally do online reviews, but the recent service I have received from Wicklunds Carstar in Liberty is so impressive and comforting that I just created a google account JUST to do this review. I hope that my feedback will reach the most people possible. This place nails it. From beginning to end, they made me feel comfortable, answered all my questions, and walked me through the work before AND after it was done. Jason explained everything to me from start to finish. They coordinated with my insurance company to get the paperwork done. They had mine and my childrens safety in mind when they towed my van instead of letting me drive it there. They kept me updated during the labor process. They respected me when my finances were tight. They are a GENUINE, family run business. They were HONEST when they did not have to be. I would not have known the difference, but they were still HONEST. I know this sounds "old school", but they are sincere and their goal is clear. To keep you safe, comfortable, and get you back on the road in a reliable vehicle. All while charging the least possible amount to reach this goal. I have had a few concerns after getting my van back,and Jason and his associates have been quick and accommodating in every way. Please do not think this review is full of cliches. Great place for anybody when you find your car damaged. Our parked car was hit damaging the rear hatch, bumper, and fender. I have never had to deal with an insurance claim and had no clue what to expect. The insurance company wanted to send an adjuster to us before we had taken it to a body shop and would give us a check right there. I didnt feel comfortable with that and took our vehicle to Wicklunds CARSTAR. Jason took some information from me and told me he would take care of it. They got me into a rental car and on my way very quickly. Jason worked everything out with the insurance company on my behalf, and took care of anything that was needed. It truly was hand over the keys and worries and get back to your life. I admit I was nervous not handling this and feared being stuck with a bill. Jason took the time to tell me exactly how the process would work and assured me that it would be taken care of by answering any questions I had. When I got the call that they had completed my car almost a week early, I was delighted to find that they had gone way above and beyond what was expected. The good folks at Wicklund define customer service. Anytime someone puts forth the customer service of this caliber, it should be recognized. I would recommend this place to my patients, my friends, my family, and any of the businesses I network with. Thank you!

When I had a small fender-bender in Spring 2011 I took my 08 Dodge Caravan to Wicklunds Carstar. The van needed a new fender, bumper, nose-piece, grill, light, undercarriage and tons more work. Wicklunds was very quick and my van was in their shop within a week of the accident and completely repaired within 2 weeks. When a wrong part was shipped causing a delay of one whole day the shop graciously gave me a free rental for the remainder of the time they had my van, which was no more than two days later. When I brought my van to them it had a bungee cord holding the hood and bumper together. When I got it back it looked better than the day we brought it home from the dealer. My favorite part? I now have a bottle of touch-up paint just the right shade for my van-just in case!!
