#Lack of basic equipments #Front desk that will give you all kinds of nonsense and misinformation to cover up their blunder Went in for installing 4 new TPMS sensors on my Honda. They accepted customer parts and I had purchased the sensors myself. DOBBS quoted me $25/tire for the installation. I assumed that "installation" meant programming the sensors to my Honda and putting them inside my tires. When I picked up my vehicle, I noticed the TPMS error light still on. I asked the mechanic who worked on the job and he said that they dont have the equipment to program the specific brand of sensors that I brought in. Frustrated at the reply, I asked him why they even accepted my parts if they knew thay they didnt have the equipment to get the job done. He directed me over to the front desk. The front desk has people talented enough to be very confident in talking absolute nonsense. They refused to talk anything about the programming equipments. They said that the car would auto program itself in a while and the light would go off. They also said that I should have brought in sensors that were programmed to my car. I had no idea if the sensors were programmed or not. So according to Dobbs, "Installation" meant putting parts in place and not worry if it works or not. They did not even test the vehicle to see if the installation was successful. I had to find it myself after I got the car back. Days later the vehicle didnt auto program itself and the light was still on. I then took it to A+ Auto repair, which is a smaller shop nearby. The gentleman there programmed all four sensors and fixed up my car in a very short while. He mentioned that all four sensors were not programmed earlier. He was very descriptive on his approach to fix the issue before he even accepted my vehicle. He knew what he was doing. However, I ended up paying two different people to get one job done. I noticed that the gentleman at A+ Auto Repair was making use of a Programming tool by the name "Maxi TPMS". I looked up the Internet to see if it is that expensive that Dobbs chose not to purchase and add to their tool inventory. To my surprise it is selling for just $160. I wouldnt recommend Dobbs to anyone. They clearly do not know what they are doing.

Have bad experiences every time I go to Dobbs, and I would go somewhere else to get oil changed and tire rotation, but I dont know any other place that does it. They do a great job doing this, but the only problem is that every time I went to Dobbs, even for replacing a flat tire, the check engine light, also know as the malfunctioning indicator light came on. This makes me not want to trust them any more, since it comes on every time I get my honda CRV serviced, even for a replaced tire. I hqve been waiting in the waiting room today at Dobbs for about 50 minutes and they still havent pulled my car in. I took my far in right when they opened at 7 in the morning, so they should have already pulled it in if nothing else, but no, its almost been an hour and my car still hasnt been pulled yet. On top of that, the main people at the desk have been trash talking someones vehicle, didnt know what something meant on a customers cars and I know this, because I am waiting in the waiting room without any other customers in the store. They act all nice, but in reality they act like that to get more money, which is probably why my check engine light turns on after every time my car gets serviced. The next thing that makes me mad, is that when I told the guy at the front desk that my malfunction indicator lamp was on, he had no idea of what I was talking about, so I had to tell him that my check engine light was on for him to understand, now this is making me mad, because that is the official name for the check engine light, and it is a car place so he should know what that means. I gave this a 1 out of 5, because the guy at the desk trash talked a persons vehicle when their were no customers at the desk, trashed talked a couple customers because of how they didnt know much info and also mocked what the customer said as a joke to one of the technicians that came in to report something, and lastly, because my check engine light canes on every time I get my car serviced here even when my tire got replaced.

I took my car in for tires and brakes which was priced at about $700. Then a service member called me to say there were several other things that needed replacement which would add another $700. I told him I would need a second opinion and took it to a reputable service station in the area. They told me all I had was a loose bolt and charged me $85 for an hour of service. That was 6 months ago and I havent had any more problems surface with that. Then one of my tires seemed to be leaking air. The Dobbs warranty includes free service or replacement so I reluctantly brought the car back in there to be looked at. They called and said my wheel was bent and thats why the tire was leaking air- I would need a new wheel. I told the service rep. about my previous experience with them and he began to change his tune about the wheel saying that I could take it to a wheel and tire store and they might be able to repair it- it might not need to be replaced. I monitored the air pressure over then next few weeks and never had any other issues with it- yet they wanted to sell me a new wheel. The people behind the counter seem very friendly and helpful, but I would absolutely not trust what goes on there!

I have been to every shop within a couple of miles and I will be going to dobbs again. I really appreciate the shuttle as it makes dropping the car off in the morning a painless process. I brought my car in for an oil change and an inspection. I had forgotten that i suspected my struts were almost done as i had noticed my car bottoming out where it didnt use to. Especially when the car was full of people. They called me to let me know they think my struts were close to end of life and I agreed. They were able to get that repair done vefore my pickup time. Due to that excitement, they forgot to finish the inspection so they didnt charge me for it. I was able to drop it off the next day and take their shuddle to work. They were really apologetic about forgetting to finish the inspection and even offered me the first spot of the day at 8am but i needed to be at work by then so i used their shuddle. I feel like they made it right for me and it has been a painless process.

They were busy during the week. So we set up there next available appointment 3 days later at 5pm. We waited 40 minutes until 5:40 before they even pulled the car in for the oil change. Also, we took it there to get the radiator fixed early one morning. They said they would have an answer for me by noon. When I dropped off the car all bays were empty. I called at lunch and they had not even looked at my car yet. They said at lunch that it was next on dock. I came by 5 hours later after work and the car was still sitting there and they handt even bothered to pull it in to take a look. We took the car to another local mechanic shop where they had it diagnosed and completed in 1 hour. Very dishonest and poor management at Dobbs. Here is the address for Jiffy Lube 11944 Dorsett Rd Maryland Heights, MO 63043. Anywhere is better than Dobbs.
