I recently had the pleasure of working with Christian Brothers Roofing. They took a negative (hail damaged roof) and turned it into a positive! Since my HOA requires that we use GAF Timberline shingles, I started my search for a roofer on the GAF website. Christian Brothers Roofing was listed at the top for the Kansas City area because they are not only a Master Elite (certified) installer but also a President’s Club company. That means that have been recognized for excellent quality control and customer service. Christian Brothers is currently the only company on Kansas City with this distinction. I contacted several other roofers, but Scott of Christian Brothers was the only one to actually provide a quote. All the others simply said, give me your insurance check and we’ll put a roof on. Another told me if they provided quotes to everyone that asked, that’s all they’d be doing all day. Scott took the time to sit down and explain every step of the process, down to where each nail will be placed. I was provided with a quote for a better roof than what I had for the price that insurance was allowing. The Christian Brothers crew was able to get my roof done in one day, even with a rain delay. I’m not a roofing expert, but to the untrained eye, their work looks great. They also went above and beyond add in small fixes to some wood rot problems I have. Nothing big, just small fixes with the tools they already had up there that will get me by until I can get up there and fix it right. More fantastic attention to detail! Between their 10 year workmanship and GAF’s 50 year warranties, I’m confident that if anything goes wrong in the next 50 years, it will be made right by Christian Brothers Roofing. After working with Scott, I now understand why Christian Brothers Roofing has GAFs highest rating. I hope I do not need a new roof any time soon, but if I do, I will definitely be giving Scott at Christian Brothers Roofing a call!

Franklin did the estimate and he was fantastic! He gave me a written bid and a scope of work noting I had 3 small areas to repair and all the valleys needed sealant. It would require 2 bundles of shingles and gave me a bid of $470. I asked to be present for the repairs. A week later someone called to say in very bad English he was fixing my roof right now. However, I wasnt at home and wouldnt return for an hour - yet I wanted to be present. When I got back an hour later he had finished. I asked him what he did and I did not understand him. Other family members with me were confused as well. I felt sure he did not finish the scope of work and did not use the required sealant in the valleys simply from the areas he pointed to. He said he only used 1 bundle instead of 2 bundles. I asked him to leave the extra bundle of shingles but he just drove off. I called the office several times the next day and emailed the estimator as well. I asked for someone to come out to inspect the work and complete the repairs with me present. The following week I got a response. It took a couple more weeks to match schedules but Franklin did return and sure enough the sealant repairs in the valleys had not been done. In addition, some of the replaced shingles were missing sealant and along the ridge cap. Franklin finished the job correctly. While Franklin has been great, Im left with concerns that most people would not realize the work in the estimate had not being completed by the the people who actually do the work. Most people would have paid full price for the repairs - trusting it was done correctly - and yet had an issue down the road that could have been prevented. My advice: have their work inspected to be sure it was completed and done correctly.

I cannot rave enough about how happy I was with their services. My wife and I bought a new house in December, knowing that we were gonna have to get the roof and gutters redone immediately. Christian Brothers was my second bid. They were several thousand dollars less than my first bid, so that was enough for me to stop looking. (However, in the end, the price was maybe the least important thing when it came to my satisfaction.) First, I was able to get the appointment scheduled in one call, and they were available immediately upon me taking ownership of the house, which was great to have it done before I moved in. Ryan was my direct contact and the site supervisor. He was available to answer multiple questions by phone and text (this may not be important to some but Im of the generation where answering a simple question via text rather than having to go through a whole phone call is nice). Further, at no point did he or any other representative of the company, try to upsell me on any products or tell me about other services I just had to have. The crew got my entire house and detached garage done in one day. I actually stopped by the house on the day of the work and the crew foreman was very nice and spoke English (which totally didnt matter because the project went off without a hitch, but it was nice to know that if something had gone wrong or if I had a question, I would have been able to communicate with someone onsite). The completed project was great. Both Ryan and the owner, Scott, followed up with me to confirm that we were happy with the final result, which we were. Great company, Great people! I will definitely use them on my next home!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. First of all, their customer service is horrible!! A week after I signed the contract I had to call them to find out what was going on. I was told that they were "too busy" and forgot to call me. That shouldve been my sign to cancel the contract immediately. On top of that, I was called on the same day the work were to be done. How inconsiderate is that?! Thankfully, I just so happened to be off that day. Secondly, Kevin rushed my estimate and was not clear on what repairs would be done. I explained to him what I wanted and to my surprise, only half of what needed to be done was completed. After all of that, the owner Scott told me too bad, so sad. I was made to feel like a fool who had just been duped. Do yourselves a favor and stay far away from this company.

Prior to purchasing our home we were told by three experts that we would probably need to replace the entire roof. When Scott Horstmann came out to inspect he informed us of needed repairs but did not upsell and say we needed a whole new roof when he could have. He is an honest, trustworthy, skilled businessman. After we moved in to our home we discovered leaking near our fireplace. We called Christian Brothers and they sent someone out immediately to see if it was anything they did or could help fix. It was a chimney problem, as it turns out. But I was very impressed by the lasting customer service. Christian Brothers Roofing receives my highest respect and recommendations.
