I would not recommend L & M Electric due to extremely poor communication and follow-through. Rick was referred to me by my realtor when I needed an outlet rewired on a newly purchased home. Rick told me he does not do free inspections and that it would cost me $90 for him to come look at the issue and that the $90 would include the first 30 minutes of service. Rick arrived and diagnosed the issue. After 30 minutes, he told me that he could rewire the outlet in 90 additional minutes but that he didnt have time that day. He said he would return before Christmas to finish the job. I paid him the $90 he requested. This was in late November. As Christmas got closer, I contacted Rick a couple times for a timeline. He did not respond. I contacted him in early January, and he eventually informed me that he was on vacation and would contact me when he got back. Once February arrived, I attempted twice to contact Rick, but received no response. As a result, I paid Rick $90 simply to diagnose an issue which still is unsolved. Now I am forced to start the process over with a new electrician, essentially wasting $90 and a lot of my time. I am extremely disappointed in the service provided by L & M Electric.

I highly recommend Rick--he was here in about 10 minutes after our call--on a Sunday, no less--quick & efficient in the repair, which got our main power back on. On a hot Sunday in July, that alone would lead to a hearty recommendation, but he also fixed another problem at no extra charge. You have to appreciate that level of professionalism, fast service, quality work....not to mention that hes a really nice guy! Weve just found ourselves a new electrician!

I called Rick after we had a lightning strike at our house which fried a bunch of our electronics. Rick came out the same day and gave us a very reasonable quote. He was very flexible with our schedule and came out the next evening to install a couple of surge protectors. I highly recommend him and will use again.

I called yesterday and Rick was able to stop by first thing this morning. In less than 10 minutes he had found the problem and in another five minutes it was fixed! Rick was courteous, informative and absolutely professional. I highly recommend L & M to anyone in the KC area who needs electrical work.

I had Rick out today to look at a GFCI outlet in my garage that kept tripping. He identified the issue and got me working again quickly! Hes very professional and its comforting to know that I have a good electrician I can rely on now. I highly recommend giving Rick a call!
