We built a very nice home and were willing to pay a premium for custom cabinets. Unfortunately, this company was disorganized with their scheduling and set our job back two separate times, which meant that our cabinets were finally ready for stain/paint 5 weeks after we moved in. Billing had to be corrected several times, and at the end of the project they insisted they had delivered pieces that were missing. Also several pieces were not complete and a few downgrades were made without our knowledge or permission. The layout of the kitchen is awkward, and I chalk this up to inexperience on the designers part. For instance, originally the dishwasher opened into the standing area at the sink, making it impossible to stand at the sink and load at the same time. That was corrected, but the corner the microwave is in is almost unusable because of the angle and distance you must reach across to access it. If this tall unit had been set at an angle consistent with the base cabinets, both the dishwasher problem and the microwave problem would have been remedied. I think the most difficult thing for me to reconcile was after I specifically asked for a furniture style appliance caddy door that lifts up and slides into the cavity, it arrived as a regular overlay door with lift up hardware (cheaper). After they reordered the correct hardware for the appliance caddy they did not remake the door and told us to just cut it down; which doesnt look as good. Cabinet Concepts will not provide any support after the final payment is made. I think we could have let go of most of this (except the appliance caddy door, which should have been addressed), but the worst part was that Matt was rude and often lost his temper. Because the job was so disorganized pieces were trickling in over a long span of time, and the job dragged out for far too long. They were ready to be done with the job before everything was even delivered, and this message came out in his words and attitude. This was a nightmare on every possible level except for quality. The beauty and quality of the cabinetry is excellent. Because I do feel that there are companies in this area who would have made cabinets of equal quality (i.e. Fritz or Alpine), and because we would never wish for this experience to happen to anyone else, then my recommendation as a professional is to avoid working with this company.

Cabinet Concepts did a great job with all our cabinets in our new house. I get so many complements on the cabinets throughout the house. Anything that I asked them to do they did with professionalism. We even brought in 100 year old wood planks to add to the island and they incorporated it in the island making them beautiful and unique. We also brought in hand sketches of what we wanted for our bathroom cabinets and they were able to build exactly what we had envisioned. They were the easiest of all the subs to work with on our house project. Not only did they get the job done at a great price but they were early getting them finished. I was amazed at their reasonable prices. We are members at Direct Buy and Cabinet Concepts still had the better price for the whole house. I would recommend cabinet concepts to anyone needing new cabinets. Thanks Mead! You guys were great!
