I believe that this studios ability to draw world re-nowned champions as well as the very best of the local gifted champions speaks volumes about what their purpose truly is. They are not afraid of those who may know more, but are eager to learn as much as they can along with their students. Such humility is refreshing, though not in egotistical alignment with most dance instructors Ive been involved with. While it is rude to discredit anyones opinion, I am compelled to correct MP. MP was obviously and sadly not privy to the true events of the evening. The owner of the studio you classify as "Very unprofessional" was at the lake that day, made a SPECIAL effort to come back early and get to the ballrooms grand opening in an act of kindness and true friendship only to be immediately cornered out of fear that they were there to cause trouble and lure students away. I love to dance, but come on people, IT ISNT THAT IMPORTANT! As some anonymous person wrote "There is less to fear from outside competition than from inside inefficiency, discourtesy, and bad service". Everyone has the same chance of winning, everyone CAN win, integrity will always be the determining factor.

I have been dancing at Step by Step for over a year. I dance at other studios, also, and have never been criticized by anyone there for doing so. It has been my expereince that everyone is welcome. including students and instructors from other studios. They strive to build good will among all in the Springfield dance community rather than forcing dancers to pledge their allegiance to a particular studio. As for the instruction, I find it highly progessional and progressive. Kelly is right on target with the direction that the professionals and the most expereinced dance instructors seem to be taking. She stresses the basics even for the most expereinced dancers in order to help them become rather than just being in the know about the latest pattern. And finally, I have found them to be most giving of their time. Rather than watching the clock, Kellys focus is making sure everyone is comfortable with what they learned. Im really sorry that there seems to be so much dissention in the local dance community. Have we forgotten that dance is about having fun???????

We have contracted Step by Step two years in a row to help us create outstanding and creative events for our Associations annual meeting. Step by Step has made us famous with their ability to create dance events that bring our audiences alive and to their feet. For them, we always give them new and artistic challenges, yet they turn them into a piece of cake with icing on top. They dance, we dance and the whole world dances with and in Step by Step. Lastly ... work with Kelly and you will get a burst of energy, love and excitement for all she represents as a special lady - everyone loves her - her staff, her audience and God up above!

I have never had so much fun learning. After a year of private lessons and group classes I am dancing on a level that most dancers dont accomplish in such a short time. Kelly walked me through the basics of West Coast Swing and within 8 weeks I was in intermediate group classes. After that I became addicted. I now can Waltz, Two Step, NIght Club, Cha Cha, East and West Coast Swing. Not only did they introduce me to dance but they introduced me to a whole dance community here and the entire midwest. I am meeting new people and having the time of my life, and I can hold my own in any room full of dancers now.

Ballroom dance lessons with Kelly opened up a whole new world of dance for this empty nest couple. She is w/o a doubt one of the gentlest, most patient, least critical dance teachers I have ever worked with yet able to bring us to a place of confidence and great fun on the dance floor. You cant go wrong at this studio. Highly recommend.

Id give 6 stars if I could. Im a pretty outgoing person, but very self conscience when it comes to dancing. Kelly instantly made me feel at easy and made learning to dance fun.
