Hello to all!!! I stumbled upon Jacobs shop almost 3 years ago. I have shared many conversations with Jacob and ALL his employees. I have spoken with over 2 dozen customers that have used his shop and some current customers too. ALL have given positive comments and MANY referrals to their co-workers or friends/family. I asked Jacobs crew Supervisor about any negative experience and he stated that a previous employee DID show up for work and was asked to leave the premises and not work on any equipment due to the fact he was drunk and stated he had been using drugs that morning. This is obviously a former disgruntled employee, choosing to tarnish a very polished image of an Experienced and Classy Custom Furniture Maker. We used to have a female cabinet maker which is very rare for this field and he has also employed people from numerous religious backgrounds and many countries across the Globe, including: Egypt, India, Mexico, Cuba, Hungary, and Americans too!!! Jacob Dorenbaum has been in the cabinet business for all his life and comes from 8 generations of cabinet makers. He is exceptionally gifted and is an excellent craftsman. His workers are neat and polite. He designed and built a small bar for a small unused empty space in my house and I receive compliments on this all the time. I would use Custom Design Cabinets in the future for any project I have that needs woodwork.

Like the comment below says, the owner is a douche. I went there in response to a craigslist ad for a job and this guy tries to take advantage of you. There are no salaries, benefits, and the work area is lacking management. The guy has a huge ego and literally walks away when you try to negotiate his $9 wage. Take in account he’s asking with someone of 10 years in experience. Absolutely ridiculous!

So I go for a interview with Jacob and all he wants to do is belittle you so he can get you to accept probably minimum wage. He wants me to start but wont say how much he is willing to pay. Like the other review says, he is a huge duche bag.

Jacob was amazing. I just finished a kitchen remodel and it looks incredible. From beginning to end Jacob and his crew did a fantastic job. I highly recommend them.
