I decided to take my husband to Spa Mio for his birthday and a couples massage. I am a massage therapist & esthetician at a Forbes 5 star spas so I admit I have pretty high standards. The spa facilities were very nice and clean and the spa staff very professional. One of my first critiques was not being taken to sit with my husband in the co-ed lounge before our treatment as promised (meanwhile my husband was taken to the co-ed lounge). The therapist had to find me in the womens spa. The treatment room was very nice and the therapists did a brief consultation before we began. I told her I wanted focus on a couple specific areas and what kind I pressure I wanted. My therapist asked me if I wanted to start face up or down which I thought was kind of strange but I told her whatever she wanted to do and so she decided face up. Im not going to say it was the worst massage but I was expecting a much better massage than I received for the amount of $ I paid for the treatment. As I said I have high expectations because I am a therapist but as much as I think this therapist sincerely tried she just wasnt very good. She gave me a scalp massage like she was scratching a dog. Her strokes were excessively repetitive. She did not focus on the areas I asked her too. She didnt ask me about pressure or comfort until the very end when she was working on my back and when I said she could go deeper she continued at a very fast pace not allowing the muscles to relax under the deeper pressure. I ended up being bruised the next day. Needles to say I was very disappointed with my massage. On the bright side my husband loved his massage!!! The only complaint later was that his shins were bruised from too much pressure. Unfortunately, as much as I would enjoy going back to this spa for the facility and Im sure there are other good therapists, the massage I received was so disappointing I wouldnt take my chances again.

This is my second time to Janie at the M salon. In the past three years, I have lived in Salt Lake City, Denver and Miami. Now currently Las Vegas. Not only are the prices fair at this upscale salon but she has colored my hair better than anyone in those other cities. If youre in Las Vegas looking for a color specialist and someone with a great fun personality, I would highly recommend her.

Throughly enjoyed the relaxation massage, facial, and energy balancing.. the steam room is a bonus. Very tranquil atmosphere for anyone who works excessively needing a release.
