Ive had several good experiences with Reno Vulcanizing. A friend recommended them to me last winter. My girlfriend hit a snow drift that winter and we didnt know what the problem was, so we took it to them. The fix was simple and they did it in 5 minutes no charge. Another time, I went to Big-O on Mae Anne for an oil change. After almost 2 hours there, they told me my tires were 1/32" away from being outside the legal limit and require immediate replacement - thatd be $500 on the spot I wasnt planning on spending. My girlfriend recommended we get a second opinion at Reno Vulc; they told me I could ride out my wheels until the end of the summer before requiring replacements giving me time to purchase tires. Theyre quick, friendly, but most importantly for those not in tune with car mechanic talk, they are honest and never try to sell you something you dont need. I learned my lesson: quit going to other car care places and just stick with Reno Vulcanizing.

I took my vehicle to the dealer for an oil change. The dealer said I needed rear struts and the front brake pads replaced and the front brake disks resurfaced. The dealer cost was so expensive -- that I went around town getting some estimates on the repairs. Reno Vulcan on Plumb Lane had the second lowest estimate, but the lowest estimate came from a place that didnt look too reputable, so I let Reno Vulcan do the job. I got a call from the manager who told me the front pads measured 6mm and didnt need replacing. That saved me $190. I really appreciate the fact that they didnt take advantage of me because of what I thought needed to be done. Im though with the dealer. My loyalty is with Reno Vulcan now.

We were contacted back the next day and the shift lever on our vehicle finally broke completely. I talked to Ken the service manager and right away we were sent a tow truck courtesy of Reno Vulcanizing.The service and care we recieved were beyond what we ever expected. These guys are one of a kind and my family is safer than safe because of them. New tires for winter and no more safety concern. Thank you Reno Vulcanizing we couldnt appreciate your service anymore. I LOVE this place, really value integrity and a solid work ethic. These folks are a well oiled machine, work tremendously well together and made me feel important despite not being very wealthy. Id drive in from another state to have work done on my truck HERE, because these folks do great work and also treat people like family. Consistently great work is what you can expect from Reno Vulcanizing on Plumb Lane. They follow through with everything they promise they will do, and in the end surprise you with reasonable charges for their work. As a woman, I have had experiences where car dealers/repair services think you dont understand how things work and either treat you poorly or try to overcharge for items not needed. You will never have that experience here, I recommend them every time.

I purchased two new tires from Reno Vulcanizing and had them mounted and balanced immediately before setting off on a trip. My car shook terribly and I took it in to a tire store along my route. One tire had been mounted off center, as clearly shown by the concentric rings molded into the tire side wall, and I had to have the tire re-mounted and re-balanced. When I returned to Reno and presented my invoice to Reno Vulcanizing they refused to reimburse me for it.

I just moved to the area and needed tires for my wifes car after after we experienced our first snow. The staff there was great and patient when explaining the types of tires that will do well in snow. We drove off with a set of Kellys for $413 and a reminder to come back in three months for free rotation. My car will need tires, too, and Ill be sure to give this place a look at that time.

Love these guys! Ive taken my Jeep and BMW to Reno Vulcanizing for all my auto care needs for the past six years and have always had great care and service. They do a great job and are honest, good people. They keep my cars running well and dont try to sell me something I dont need. I feel save behind the wheel and reassured that my cars are in optimum shape, Thanks Guys!

The staff was so helpful. Went all over town trying to get my tire changed, and they were the only shop I called or stopped by that didnt waste my time with excuses. The pricing was fair, and since they were busy , the staff scheduled an appointment for me. I appreciate the staff being polite, quick and efficient. I will definitely be returning! Thanks Reno Vulc.

Ive been going to these guys for the last 9 years. I wont go anywhere else. Roberto is fantastic as well as Ken and everyone else. They take care of me and I try to bring my fleet in. My first experience with Reno Vulc. came in 1972 when I was stationed with the Air Force in Fallon ,Nv. I purchased a set of tires from them and after my discharge in 1976 have had many services performed and tires bought. A++ service and I highly recommend them! Steve Besso and crew are top notch.

This place is the best! I took my car in because another mechanic told me I needed brakes. The guys at Reno Vulcanizing looked it over and told me my car wouldnt need brakes for another 10,000 miles, and didnt charge me a cent. Great honest mechanics!

Both here and the North Virginia locations are the best, most honest car care places in town. They tell you what really needs to be fixed and dont give you a run around. Always my first choice for auto care...far and away above dealerships.
