I have been going to Mosaic in Avenel for about two years now for waxing and facials and have not had once had a problem until my most recent visit. I was going in for a facial, as I do every two months, but the woman I usually go to no longer worked there so I tried someone new named AGATHA (or AGATA, not sure). My facial was great up to the extraction. Her technique is fine, its the fact that while my eyes were closed and covered, I swore i could hear her texting on her cellphone! What bothered me the most is that while shes removing blackheads and my pores are completely open shes also touching her cellphone with gloved hands! Its like having your dentist put his gloved hands in your mouth, touch his cellphone which has been God knows where, and then put his hands back in your mouth. On top of that, during my finishing mask, she put something like a makeup remover pad over my eyes that had alcohol in it so if I slightly blinked, my eyes burned ! Thankfully she removed them at my request. However, when she left the room, while my mask set, I looked over to her side tabel and sure enough there was her cellphone. I really do love this place and the work they do, but their employee AGATHA really needs to go. Watch out for her.

I received a gift certificate for my birthday and finally got a chance to use it. I had only been here once before , roughly 5 years ago for a massage, and remembered it being mediocre. Yelena was my therapist today for a therapeutic massage and was considerate and attentive. Her pressure was adequate for a therapeutic massage, but I prefer much deeper in my problem areas (typically neck and shoulder). She did however give me some complimentary hot stone treatment on my neck and shoulders. I have no complaints and did almost fall asleep. That being said, the 3 stars has to do with the price . I have had much better and deeper 1 hour massages for between $60-$80. This place is more about appearance and very large, and less a get down to business massage spot. As a mother of 4 children ages 5 and under, I want to get in - recharge - and leave feeling virtually ache and pain free, without feeling guilty for spending so much on myself. I would not come back for a massage... I will return to Comfort and Balance in Sewaren (Nikki is amazing) or to see Bob at The Club in Woodbridge. If youre looking to make a day of being pampered and money is NO object - this place may be perfect for you.

I was at the North Brunswick location today. My husband had gotten me a Double Take Deal for a massage for my birthday. I found the employees friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions on the phone and tried to accommodate me with the appointments I wanted. I was not able to ad don the facial that I wanted because the aesthetician would have had to come from another location but was not available when I was able to come. Other than that, I had a great experience. I did not feel I was treated differently because of having the coupon, like I have seen on reviews of other salons. The massage was nice, and I was not rushed out after my service. I was offered coffee, and tea and allowed to take all the time I wanted. I will definitely go back - even without a coupon!

I love going to Mosaic Salon - Sandra Baliya is the best when it comes to the cut and color of my hair. She has been doing my hair for the past 29 years. I consider her a great friend. She is a wiz at color and cuts. She keeps up with all the new ways to cut hair and she is a perfectionist when it comes to color. The salon is a very nice and relaxing. The staff is friendly and courteous. You feel at home when you go there. You will not be disappointed when you get your hair done by Sandra. I look forward to my monthly visits to the salon and having Sandra do my hair. - Judy Z-D

This is truly a wonderful salon. I do have to give the credit entirely to Carmen, as she is the reason I come here. She is excellent at what she does, and she never disappoints. What she brings to the table is consistency, and that is rare to find. She can do wonders with your hair, and in addition, she makes you feel as beautiful inside as you are outside. Most of all, I cant leave out the fact that she is amazing at coloring hair, and getting the exact color and blend youre aiming for. Ive been to numerous hair salons and hair dressers, and she is by far the best Ive been to.

I have been going to Mosaic for almost 10 years, and I wouldnt go anywhere else. Besides my regular monthly upkeep and maintenance; My wedding party and I had hair and makeup done there in 04, I had my very first facial there, bring my 5 year old nieces in for maincures and now that Im pregnant go there for peticures and soon a prenatal massage! The staff just keeps getting better and better, the services are amazing (aahhh, the anti stress massage). The receptionists are VERY nice and flexable (I change my appointments a billion times and they are always so nice).

ive been going to suzanne since december of 2009. ive lost my hair twice to chemo. when i started with her, i had very little hair and no style. she has colored and cut my hair several times and each and every time she does an amazing job. i have enough hair now for highlights. and again. great color and cuts. She has been very kind to me and she is so professional and talented. She always offers new and fresh ideas and products. I would recommend her and Mosaic Salon to everyone. Thank you Suzanne.

Sharp Wit

Called to get more information about their sugaring services. I asked a simple question of what brand they use and was put on hold 3 times. Finally someone came on the phone and said they make their own. (but whispered it like it was a secret she wasnt supposed to be telling me) Then I asked to make an appointment for a hair cut and was put on hold another 2 times! I got an uneasy feeling about the place and finally just hung up.

Treatments are really good.Izabela is my person for facial the ambience and the way they show us is awesome..dominick for hair styling I am always comfortable to tell what I need .....everything is superb. I go to the location on Avenel and it is amazing. I have gone there for both mine and my boyfriends senior prom for hair and makeup. Also for my sweet sixteen. Always left fully satisified. The employees are very professional and the environment is the most relaxing. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to for a peaceful time. The massages are my favorite. Perfect pressure and you leave feeling rejuvenated.
