Wow - Freedman has great customer service. I needed new tires so I was looking online for the best rated and local dealers. I found Freedman and called to see if they had what I was looking for in stock. The owner, Jake Freedman, answered the phone and politely asked if he could call me back because he was with a customer. Wow! I appreciate that he gave preference to the in-person customer over a random caller, me, because this is what I like when Im in a retail shop. He called me back quickly and gave me information on the three tires he would recommend and the pros and cons of each. Wow again. Based on this one call, I decided to give him my business. When I went into the shop the next day, his guys took my information and started work quickly. Jake let me know what other services might be needed on my car and provided me with his recommendation on when to get these. It was not a hard sell at all -in fact, there was not one thing on the "this will need to be done soon" list that he said needed to be done today. Based on this experience, I believe Freedman to be an honest auto shop. Ill be back.

What a great experience at Freedman! I am so happy a friend at work recommended I go there for replacement tires. I called hoping to get an estimate and figured it would only be a ballpark estimate. The quote was right on and no hidden fees as promised. Carl was so helpful that he went out of his way to make sure he had the tires I needed for my vehicle in stock. And since I didnt even know what size my tires are he was able to instruct me how to find the information on my tire to give him over the phone and did so without making me feel dumb for not knowing which I really appreciated. I only had time on my lunch break to get my tires replaced so when I popped in, even though it was clear they were busy, Carl assured me they had time for me and they were even done with my car faster than the estimated time. Great customer service. Would definitely recommend Freedman Auto Service to others.

When I came recently to Edison,I bought used car in hurry,but the check engine was light on.I have inquired so many auto service.But later I read the reviews in internet and the reviews were genuine made me to go Freedman.I went there and the experienced excellent service,awesome people(Jack,Troy) awesome service. They repaired within 4 hours and asked me to come back before going to inspection. I went today , Troy verified and confirmed that it will pass the emission since the converter has set now ...Really I am happy to write review that my Emission test Passed in a fraction of minutes..Now Freedman become my present and future auto service....I informed several colleagues and now they are also happy to go Freedman....Very reliable,accurate information.excellent commitment. Quality Service,Really you guys are professionals.

Freedman Auto and Tire Service has been the family mechanic for over 20 years. We use Freedman for routine maintenance and any other repairs that come up. As far as price, they put 4 Firestone Destination A/T tires on my 2008 Sierra for less than TireRack, and I have a place I can go for a warranty if anything happens with the tires. The staff is friendly and we feel they go the extra mile to take the best care of our vehicles. I have confidently recommended them to friends and have always received positive feedback on their experiences. Trustworthy and Competent are the two things we look for when servicing our cars/trucks and thats not easy to find. Highly Recommend

I called up a couple of auto shops comparing prices to change my tires. They have the highest price for tires, and non-negotiate-able. I politely said the other shop offered me such such price, does he thinks they can do a little better or if they have any promotions? ( its all about the way you say it not what you say). The gentleman responded me " you can just go there". That is not a good customer service. He could have said it nicely, such as " oh Im sorry this is the best we can offer". Ect Poor customer service. By the way, did you notice the reviews here are mostly from the people who doesnt really write reviews or new to Yelp?

Ive been bringing my car here for many years and Jake and his team never disappoint! Ive also gotten great service with reasonable prices and they actually treat you well. I trust them and havent been let down. Many of our family member also go to Jake and Ive recommended several others that have been happy with their service. Jake himself also spends time going over the details with you and providing rational explanations of what they are doing. They also stand by the quality of their work, which is appreciated. A++

I do my oil change tire change and any other small problems here. They never let me down. Awesome customer service and technicians. Highly recommended! My trunk was leaking, and they gave it a thoroughly check. A guy named Jacob gave me thoughtful suggestions, showed me the problem next to my car and helped me analyze every possibility even it was raining heavily. I did a full check before I bought this used car and Ive been their regular customer ever since then.

Had my serpentine belt replaced about a year ago by these guys. Excellent service. Tony was my my rep getting me all set up. He was great calling me later and explaining everything that was going to take place. I just dropped of my 2009 Mazda CX9 this morning for an alternator and rear rotors/pads. Again, great communication explaining the job to me. Will go back again for tires soon.

Awesome guys over here. I hit a bad pothole on the turnpike and got a flat last night. Called this morning and brought it in. They worked with my aftermarket insurance company and replaced the tire and gave me the proper paperwork to submit for reimbursable. They even topped up the spare tire with air before putting it away. In and out in less than 2 hours, insurance crap included.

My first stop here. They had 3 used tires for my car -- I called through central NJ and couldnt find one. Jake (Owner) explained everything well, helped me understand what was priority and what was not worth doing (burning my money on). Appreciated the customer service and quick work. Regarding that review from 5 years ago, Ill update if the user tires fail prematurely.

Had a bad tire patch on an expensive Pirelli tire on my 2016 Volvo SUV. Another tire place recommended Freedman as "the best place to get an honest set of options, great service, and a fair price." They were right!!! Freedman has great people who know their jobs well and also know how to deal with customers. Five Stars. Many thanks and good wishes to all.

Initially I thought Jake was so nice, but before I changed my mind, I ended up spending 2000$ on various repairs. Once you go in to the shop, every now and then something or the other would fail. Compare prices for spark plug change or battery in Freedman and ***boys or any other place.. you will be surprised that Freedman charges 50% more than others!!!
