After taking my Honda to the dealer for regular maintenance for the last couple of years and being told repeatedly that this and that are urgent and must be repaired at insane prices; I took my car to this place because of the reviews here. I gave the manager a copy of what the dealer (Engine Mount cracked, Brakes down to 10%, etc) said I needed and asked him to check it out. A few hours later, the guy called up and said that the engine mount is slightly cracked but is not a safety concern and brakes were still okay and could wait for a couple thousand more miles. All my car needed was oil and filter change, and it was ready to go. He did advise me on a few other things about my car that may need service, but were not urgent. Compared to the dealer, Rayco Auto Services did not charge me an arm and a leg. All I paid was around $50. The dealer would be charging me twice that amount and use hard sales tactics to convince me to go for the other unnecessary repairs and services. Rayco is highly underrated and very honest.

They replaced the exhaust on my car less than a year ago. Immediately (the same day) after they did the work the muffler made a little puttering noise like a geeked-out Honda Civic. The guy said that is normal and nothing to be worried about. Less than 1 year later the tail pipe fell off...the little hole that was making that noise grew bigger and rotted the muffler. I should have known they were crooks when they installed the muffler with wires sticking out of the tailpipe and only half of the tailpipe welded on...they welded the rest after i pointed it out but how do you give back a customers car knowing the weld is half done and wont last a week???!@#$ When I called the manager he didnt even apologize. Instead he defended his shop saying its been around forever. This guy is dishonest and he runs a dishonest business. The ONLY reason theyre still around is because business is in unlimited supply in this industry: cars break down all the time. AVOID THIS SLOP SHOP.

i used to be cool with them until i took my car because i smelled gasoline..the guy saw it then call me to go pick it up when i got there he said "Your tank has a hole thats why u smell the gas, u need to Buy a new tank then bring it and i install it" i said how does it have a hole if no gas is on the floor. he said he was a mechanic and he knew....i took it to someone else and said the gas pump sealed was a lil lose and it be better to replace it so i did it for $120 ..and they wanted me to replace the tank...now i cant take my cars there anymore...

Had quite a bit of work done to my dodge that I couldnt do due to lack of equipment and location. Honesty is the best trait you could have in any kind of mechanic shop, which in my experiences this auto shop has plenty. And with their prices compared to the nearby big chain auto shops are unmatched in quality. I have to get a power steering flush and oil change soon, which I will definitely be useing Rayco.

Absolutely the most honest mechanics out there. Tony and Jess never "fix" what doesnt need fixing. Their pricing is fair and usually better than chain stores like PepBoys or Sears. Been taking my cars there for 20 years. Recently moved so theyare 45 mins from me now and still I wont take my cars anywhere else.

I had dual exhausts installed on my 78 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. Tony gave me an excellent price and great service. BTW....They also replaced the headliner on this same car 10 years ago....Still perfect!!!! And I had another 78 WHITE headliner replaced, also 10 years ago....Perfect....I highly recommend!!!!!

Was told by a friend to visit there yesterday to fix my exhaust leaks. They pointed out leaks in two different places. They fixed both leaks while I waited. Tony treated me fairly, I will continue to use them in the future.
