I have been going to this mechanic for over 20 years, starting when he had a shop in Paterson. In all these years, I have never had one single complaint about the service I received. These mechanics know their job. They are A # 1 at diagnosing a problem, especially now with all the computer parts that are in cars. In a matter of minutes, they can tell me what is wrong with my car, how they can fix it and how much it will cost. They never start working on your car without going over the pricing with you first. I have had my cars, vans, trucks, and limos serviced at Elmwood Certified, and I am very satisfied with their work. I have recommended them to many of my friends, and they all tell me THANK YOU for sending us to an honest mechanic, which is very rare to find.

The problem in the auto repair industry is like many in other type of businesses - there is a lack of transparency. For example, you dont really know if the problem the mechanic claims to be the problem really is the problem. Or, you dont know even if they fixed the problem afterwards. Or, you dont know if they are price gouging you - its very difficult to price shop because its not like youre going to leave and go to another place. But, I can confidently say that this place does not do this. Ive been to many places and this is literally the only one that I could find that was honest. His prices are great and they know what they are doing. Think about this. This business has some customers who come from out of state to go there. That should tell you something.

I have been going to Elmwood Certified for many years, and have always been satisified. What sets this auto shop apart from all others is HONESTY. If they tell you that you need something, trust them and have it done. They have never "oversold" me on anything, and they have never "Pushed" anything on me. Dennis ( the owner) gives you the bottom line, and it is up to you if you want to have the work done. I have never had a problem there, and all the guys in the shop are so pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend Elmwood Certified for all your mechanical needs, from oil changes to replacing an engine. This is the place to go.

I strongly believe a great mechanic is hard to find. Since I was 18 Ive had a car and every time I had a problem I always went to a different mechanic .. Now, Ive met the best mechanic and I will continue to come. Great customer service by all employees and I felt like I can trust them with my car. Very clean waiting area and the bathroom is amazing. I can spend all day here.. I highly recommend to all my family and friends. Stop wasting your time and money on mechanics who just fix your problem and mess another thing up.. Elmwood certified auto service is the place to go.
