This place is NOT respectful of your time when it comes to large repairs. They waist time and will waist your time and the owner will make excuses that it was the parts company that held them up. The first time this happened I gave them the benefit of the doubt then the second time I began to realize it is their problem and lack of organization. I have been going there for over three years now and when it comes to small repairs, air in the tires, light bulbs, on the spot stuff, they give you attention, are able to fix them and get you on your way at a reasonable price. In the end however, my car was retuned to me unfixed after three full days in their shop for two shocks. I am sorry to say Ive lost respect for them after the many excuses I got, and the fact that I was yelled at when I was justifiably frustrated at how my time and car was handled on more than one occasion. With the added excuses they gave I doubt that they will take the feedback and fix the problems. I will no longer be giving them my business.

These guys are awesome! I had just fropped off ab Uber fare in Secaucus when my battery light came on. When l pulled over and looked under the hood my serpentine belt had broken. S&S Auto came up as the nearest repair shop...and was highly recommended by both the staff in the bank and the tow truck driver. Once arrived the folk were so friendly and courteous; they looked at my car and said a locked pulley was the source of my issue. They were able not only to fix the immediate problem (although l had no appointment) but to assess and quote another concern with my compressor.I will be going back within the next werk or two to have that done. Keith, Artie, Mom and Angie...you guys are ALL that! While Secaucus isnt anywhere near Plainfield lm so glad my car went down by you. Saying Thank You isnt nearly enough! See you in a few days!

I dont know if they know about cars. I left my car on Monday and by Saturday they had not see it. Why? I do know. Do you know what I think? Maybe they only care about new cars, or cars from their regular customers, or friends. Maybe I am not one of "them". I called twice a day for 5 days and they did not give me an answer. Just thats they will look in to it when the have a chance. At the end I went and took my car to another auto repair. One more thing: my car was outside on the street for four days. Not even inside of the garage. We are a small town. Secaucus has only two auto repairs, but the customer service of this people is just BAD.

2005 Magnum, front end noise: some repair shops in Union City said it needed a new front end, S&S looked at it, knew it was the new updated front end where control arm bushings would not be the problem, and fixed the problem with no guessing. They knew exactly what was wrong with it. The car now drives quietly. They are definitely an honest shop. i highly recommend. This car will only be going there for repairs, and anyone else I can send their way!

Ive been to S&S 4 times now to fix my old car and they are fantastic. They are upfront right away and always fix the problem and Ive never left there screwed on pricing. I got a mechanic in the family a few states away, so I always call him after to get his opinion and after talking with him, I always very happy with their service. I trust them, which is so hard to find nowadays.

Out of all the years that I have dealt with different shops in different states and cities, this has been in my opinion the best of the bunch. They never try to hard sell anything and simply give you what you need or want. Pricing is good and service is excellent. You cant go wrong with them.

Slow but the job gets done. However, someone in there seems to think they are a wise guy by intentionally puncturing one of my tires with a 4-inch Double Headed Duplex nail because I did not allow them to change the front worn tires. They need to re-evaluate some of their employees.
