I used this place (see my previous review below) over a year ago. At the time I was very happy with them. A few weeks ago I was in Asia on business, and my wife emailed me to say there was a slow leak in one of our front tires. I told her to go to ETD. A few hours later, I received a concerned email from her. ETD told her that our front end alignment was severely out of balance, the tire that was low on air was torn up, and needed to be replaced. They also told her that the brakes were bad, and she needed to replace the pads and have the rotors cut. Had they just lied about the tire, they may have duped me. But I do most of my automotive work, and had rotated the tires the week before, and inspected the pads. There was nothing wrong with them. I sent my wife an email to get the slow leak fixed, and use our other car until I returned. When I came home, I pulled the front wheels, and the tires had no visible wear, the brakes were fine, and my opinion of ETD went into the toilet. Ill never spend a penny here again. Total scam artists, trying to take advantage of a customer. After posting the above review, the shop contacted me asking me to bring the car in so they could show me how bad the tires are. I pulled the wheels again, and made a detailed inspection. I checked the tire wear and brakes again. I put on several thousand miles since then. The car is fine. Here is my previous review: I normally purchase my tires online, and find a shop to install them. When I called ETD for prices to mount and balance, Joe asked me where I was getting my tires from. I told him, and he asked if he could provide me a competitive quote. In all of my years of buying tires online, this is the first time someone asked this question. Joe provided a competitive quote, I accepted, he ordered the tires for me, and called me when they came in. I dropped my car off, and it was done within an hour. I will definitely utilize this shop for my auto work in the future.

The service is good and quick but watch out, if you dont know what youre doing, they WILL try to scam you. Do not let them under the hood or undercarriage of your car! They will start spinning a tale of destruction and woe, leaving you in disbelief that your car is even running! Perhaps they simply do not know what they are doing on some cars, but more likely, they need to make more money. Anyway, if you let your wife go in there for just a simple tire, they will bombard her with requests to do thousands of dollars worth of work on the car. ETD will try to pull a fast one on you and you MUST not let them do it, have your car checked by another trustworthy mechanic! Only permit them to install tires, nothing more. I am insulted that they tried to pull a stunt like that on me, and will be very wary next time I go. I REPEAT: If you allow them to do it, you will be scammed for thousands of dollars! ONLY, and I dont care WHAT they say, if they claim your entire chassis is about to fall apart, ONLY let them do tires, if you care about your finances at all. Buyer beware! It can be good service for your tires, but also a money pit if you allow them to scam you.

I recently flew from Dallas to Montvale NJ for a wedding. While driving with my girlfriend in her SUV we realized we had a screw in her tire. With only three hours until the wedding we desperately called around to find a tire repair shop that could help us quickly. I believe it was Andy who I spoke with and who helped us get her SUV in and repaired. I just wanted to thank everyone there especially Andy. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I have been a customer of a NTB here in Dallas for 14 years and they treat me like family. Andy made me feel the same way even though he knew he would never see me again. He even helped me pick out new tires for my XKR for when I need to replace them soon. Great customer service is getting hard to find these days but ETD Tire proves that some does still exist. Thanks once again!

Let me start out by saying that Austin and his team at ETD are as professional and friendly as you can get. My car has a little over 80,000 miles and it needed new tires. Thinking that ETD was only a tire shop, Austin made it clear his team of mechanics can handle replacing brakes to doing extensive timing belt jobs. When I had my car in for the tires, we decided to replace the rear shocks and had the car aligned. Its amazing how a car with 80,000 miles can ride like new after ETDs magic touch. Long story short, ETD is my go to place knowing they offer full service repairs that can be done at a much better price than any dealership Ive ever been to! Thanks to Austin and his team, he now has a customer for life!

Today, it is very difficult to find a vendor that will level set with you and "tell you like it is" Hillsdale does. If "you cant handle the truth", go else where. These guys are very courteous and professional at all times, even when a customer is irate for the wrong reason. I have dealt with this location for more that 20 years. I had my sons work done here even though he lived in Long Island. Joe and Andy are great and so are all the mechanics. The dont try to sell you; they give you the information and let you make the intelligent decision. Go there if you can. Joe James IV under Christina Vargas address. Got a flat tire early Saturday. After being in the phone with AAA for awhile, they told me I had to find a place to be towed. The only place that I could think of that was close was ETD in Hillsdale. Austin helped me figure out what type of tire I had and checked his inventory BEFORE I was towed ( and possibly stuck for the weekend) . As it turned out they did not have my tire in stock, but he called another location and found out that they did! I was towed to the Westwood location and the team had been ready for me to come in due to Austins proactive outstanding customer service! Thank you Austin for being a stand up guy! Greatly appreciate your service!

Work was done quickly, there was no problem with the fact that I brought my own oil for my oil change. There was a slight misunderstanding when they were writing up what services I needed, I hadnt brought my own oil filter, when they discovered that they were almost apologetic that they had to charge me for one. They charged a reasonable price for the cartridge style filter my vehicle takes (expensive filters!) and I had no problems with it. No one tried to up sell me on anything unnecessary which makes coming back worthwhile every time. This is the third time Ive used ETD for a maintenance.
