At first, my experience with A-General was okay. I had a $500 maximum allowance, and if there were more repairs, to call me for approval (which they did not). Fixed ONE plumbing line and was charged over $500. I do not live in NJ, so I needed photos, not ONE photo of the work that was done. Very unprofessional. Lots of attitude from the snarky females that answer phones. Unwilling to go back down the street to take more than one photo. I was not even aware of the additional work that needed to be done because no one returns any calls or communicates. Just because you typically dont do something, does not mean there are certain scenarios that come up and you have to use your brain and common sense and think outside the "box", and apparently, they do not know how to handle things. Wasted my time and money.

Had a complicated blockage in my main line. Carl was unbelievably great. He methodically figured out where the blockage was and proceeded to use the right size snake to fix the problem. Another plumber who came the day before could not solve the problem. If Carl shows up at your job, you can rest assure the job will get done properly. He was careful not to damage or soil my property. I hope I never need the service again, but I wouldnt hesitate a moment to have Carl do any work in my home again.

When I first used them they seemed great. When I called them back for something else maybe a year later, they sold me on a service that they clearly were not qualified to do. The job was never completed to my satisfaction nor did they care as they never responded to my calls, emails, etc. I dont do business that way.

I will never use A-General. I was a first time customer and had scheduled an appointment for a job estimate. The plumber was supposed to come between 9-12. When I called at 1:00, I was told that estimates are not a priority, and no plumber was in the general area. I have to imagine their service is always this poor.
