I see nothing but negative reviews and feel they deserve more than that. While I understand not everyone is as personable as we all wish, these are VERY qualified/knowledgeable/experienced people. I purchased and hired Heckeroth to install a generator. It was an 8 hr project and was one of the coldest days of the year. They carried on with no complaints! They were very informative as I had many questions along the way being a new home owner. My only suggestion folks is to do your homework. They may not be the most inexpensive, but you know the old saying “you get what you pay for” and they stand behind their work. A silly mistake easily rectified made them have to return at midnight, which they did at no charge. In the end they cleaned up after themselves and left my home as it was when they arrived. Kudos on the “Heckeroth” sweatshirts, I noticed they all had one on.

It was a Sunday morning, and it was pouring out. My plumbing system was COMPLETELY backed up. I was desperate. Heckeroth was one of the few who would come on a Sunday. It was $99 just for them to come and look. The plumber had to remove the toilet bowl to snake it out. He told me it would cost an additional $500-$600. I had no choice . . . I needed flowing water. He handed me the bill for $619, and said he was giving me a "break." Ive since spoken with two other plumbers who told me it shouldnt have been more than $225 tops. If you want to get ripped off, call Heckeroth. As for me, I never will again.

I purchased a propane heating unit from Heckeroth a year ago. Yesterday I noticed the pilot light had gone out , and I called heckeroth about it. I was quoted a $69 service call fee and set up an appointment. James, their service person, came and did light my pilot, and showed me how to do it for myself. It took at most 10 minutes. The bill was $182.52 ( $69 for service call and $100 for 10 minutes of labor) BEWARE!

Problems are common with their installations and the last repair was for an item under warranty and they billed me for over $400 (which I had to haggle over and paid only a partial amount) with weeks of the problem unresolved. I was also told that another company would charge much more so I should appreciate their "reasonable" fees. I would not recommend this company.

Called them Monday for an estimate for my senior parents on their water system. Very polite on the phone. They came today Wednesday and will do the installation Thursday. Thanks Heckeroth for treating seniors honestly!!

Watch out for overtime overcharge. For 15 minutes work, they charged full hour in overtime. That $50 off in the newpaper insert wont get you too far.

They put in a heat pump system and a water softener system . Very happy with the work . Nice people .
