Ive been to this gym a few times for kids parties and Ive seen the owner "yelling" at the kids and in my opinion verbally abuse one child. There are two ways to lead...one is by respect and the other is by fear. The owner of this place is "old school" and thinks that screaming at children is ok. Ive seen it happen more than once, so I would believe its a common practice for him. Looking for a kid friendly place? Keep looking.

Going to Shields has not only made me a better gymnast, but it has also made me a better cheerleader and athlete. Their knowledgeable staff explains technique with great detail and enables athletes to master the basics. This provides gymnasts/cheerleaders with the skills to safely perform advanced gymnastics with wonderful technique. If youre trying to decide on what gym to go to, pick Shields.. they the best!

took my son here for a while - he loved it. "Mr shields" he still asks to go back! We just couldnt do it again - but have nothing but good things to say about facility and staff!
