I signed up for this club on July 9th 2014, I paid an initiation fee, plus first and last months payments. At the time that I signed up I was told that I had a free personal training session. I attended the session which I enjoyed but at the end I was hit with a lot of pressure to sign up. I explained I just had a baby and my income was reduced drastically so that was not something I could do at the time. I would have had to pay 149 to sign up plus an additional 160 a month on top of my membership. I still was given a lot of pressure to sign up even when she tried to break up the payments it was still too much I had paid 148 less than a week before. When I kept saying no the trainer then stated that I "needed a lot of work" and she didnt want me to quit in the first 3 months or sit around on the machines on my phone like so many other people she saw which hurt my feelings considering I was only 6 weeks postpartum and serious about getting back in shape. then said "you cant afford 72 dollars right now?!" I said NO i did not even bring money with me she then said she would bill my account. I was so annoyed. I said I needed to speak with my husband which she said I should call right there. After I went home I decided a gym that I did not want to be affiliated with this gym any longer. I know it is there job to sign people up but I said no multiple times and then she attempted to say hurtful things to force me to sign up. I wanted a gym that I felt motivated to attend not to be harassed, I have received 2 phone calls from this woman in the past 24 hours (my session was yesterday morning) and she said she hoped I would come to the gym later so she could see me. Enough was enough. I contacted the corporate office and was told they do not allow refunds, although I signed up less than a week ago and attended 1 time for the training he would contact the manager and find out the other side of the story. I then called the Bensalem location and was told to transfer i would have to pay a 100 dollar transfer fee. I am not happy with my LA Fitness experience

Been going there 10+ years and have seen it going downhill the entire time. Plenty of equipment. Plenty of problems. Plenty of lost potential. -Issues with people breaking into member cars -Issues with people breaking into lockers -Rugs smell like mold after any rain or snowstorm -Many members with terrible hygiene, staff refuses to address -Staff sits at desks, ignores entire room/no walk-throughs -Rugs covered with trash, in gym itself and in locker room -Locker room floors covered in water and baby powder -Locker room stalls nasty, unflushed toilets, piss on floors -Locker room a cesspool-used to use daily, now just avoid them -Staff spends most of the time texting and talking to each other -Poor attention to customers -Half the staff takes smoking breaks outside -Only time staff comes out from behind desks is to use bathroom or smoke -Parking lot like demolition derby: DANGEROUS speeding drivers -Poor staff management; janitor cleans cardio equipment while you use it--WHY? -Poor maintenance (exterior)-Pothole at entrance that could hide a Buick-there all winter -Poor maintenance (interior)-ants in sauna, drips in gym ceiling, used tissues in cup holders -At one point, TV showing static for 3 months Two-faced sales staff. Theyll be your best friend til they sign you up, then forget who you are. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Its a shame they care so little about customer satisfaction.

This gym has gotten progressively worse in the 3 years that I have been going there. The equipment is not in bad shape but the wait times have gotten unbearable. It honestly seems like you cant get into the gym between 4:45 and 7:30. The sheer amount of people in the gym during those times almost constitutes a fire hazard. Also, because of the overcrowding, the parking lot situation is a joke - members make their own spots, creating dangerous (and illegal) blind turns and nothing is ever done. Still, new members seem to be added on a daily basis, further increasing the overcrowding and parking issues without any sort of communication to members how current problems will be addressed. Dont waste your time or money here. Update: This facility has now added Ballys members making an awful situation that much worse. Now, even the times that used to be slower (after 7PM) are bad. You shouldnt have to go to the gym at 8-9 PM to a) find a parking spot and b) use the equipment, especially for what you pay. Try any other alternative before you go here and if this is still an option, make sure you take a 1-2 week trial run so you can see if you can put with the parking/over-crowding situation.

Very pleased with this gym. Ive been going to couple gyms in this area for last 15 years Like Newtown Athletic club, YMCA, Ballys. LalA fitness has everything under one roof for very good price . Very convenient location, Great Hours of operation. You Can train with weights ,do cardio, take all kinds of classes, play basketball ,volleyball, racquetball, do boxing ,swimming . They have personal trainers. Theres always somebody at the front desk. I have chosen LA fitness over other clubs especially because all kinds of activities you can do even if the club is crowded between five and eight. Its open late , I can use sauna and pool after work out and kids club make it very convenient If you have kids. I had sign in and out three times over the last 15 years. I have never have problem with management. And if you dont want to have personal trainer dont get one.

The LA Fitness gym in Langhorne has very poor customer service. The manager is rude. The employees give inconsistent information and do not render basic customer service. They offer no apologies when an error is made from their end. When a call is placed, it is answered with a rude tone or attitude. The equipments are very old. The place charges the same membership fee as a new LA fitness club even with primitive equipments. Most of the time, we find equipments out of order. No one takes responsibility to answer a question and it seems like the customers have to work around the managements schedule. This is why we have decided to cancel our membership. Why go to a place that is supposed to be a place of ease but rather provides frustration and regret? I regret spending money with LA Fitness, particularly the Langhorne location.

I am very disapointed with the management. It has gone down hill the past year, especially after LA Fitness acquired Ballys. There is no corporate web site to complain to either. I am not very fussy and like the squash courts and pool.... so i signed up again recently for a year.. but may go back to the Y.Place is pretty dirty ... It is hard to see the pools bottom... mens showers dont work, locker room is dirty and smells by evening time... no place to hang towels in the sauna, machines have "issues" and staff is non existent or busy hustling for dollars; manager either does not care or has no say in the business.. ther are other options out there now for the same price... Needs new management!

Ive been going here for more than 10 years. It takes them forever to fix things that are broken. Recently they closed for 2 weeks to "renovate". I was pleased, thinking the place would finally take care of all the issues. After the 2 weeks, what we got was incredibly tacky wallpaper (maybe new carpet), nothing else I could see. Still the same cheap see-through shower curtains, lots of broken things in the showers, broken machines, mold in shower room, broken lockers, etc. Really? Couldnt fix that stuff with all that time they were closed? Last 2 times I was there the pool was closed, most recent time because there were glass shards in it! After ten years, Im finally going to look for another gym.
