Keeping in mind that I have been purchasing Sears appliances and ONLY Sears appliances since 1980, I was not happy with this particular repair. This repair took three visits by Sears. My washer had completely stopped working mid-wash cycle and with the door locked with water and clothing inside. This happened late on a Saturday night. Upon calling Sears on Sunday morning to schedule a repair, I was told I had to wait until Monday to schedule the repair because it was under warranty and the warranty dept would not be open until Monday. Then the warranty dept could not have someone come out for several days (4 more I think). They were able to unlock the door and get the clothes out, but needed to order three parts for the repair. This was scheduled for about a week later and could not be expedited. The evening of the completed washer repair, I experienced a huge leak that flooded my laundry room on into my kitchen. This was a new problem that did not previously exist. Upon calling Sears and asking them to send someone right back out the next day, I was told they couldnt for several days. When I scheduled the appointment, I told them I could only be home until 3:30 (4:15 at latest). My appointment was then scheduled from 11:00 to 1:00. On the service day, I received an email that the appointment was now changed to between 12:00 and 2:00. But then 2:30 rolled around and no one came. When I called, I was told that they were backed up and could not be to my home until between 4:30 and 6:30. The only time that day that I could not be available. It was obvious to me that I had been pushed back to accommodate someone else, and after some ranting and raving, they sent someone to my home around 4:00. The repair was completed only to leak again that evening. Two days later the hose under the washer that had come loose when the first repair was made, was repaired. All has been well for about a week now. The service technician was very nice, but I was not at all happy with this overall experience.

Fortunately, each and every one of the four (4) repairmen who were sent on four (4) different occasions to repair our new Kenmore Elite refrigerator were skilled, knowledgeable professionals. UNFORTUNATELY, the automated and computerized phone, scheduling, and parts ordering system utilized by Sears incorrectly handled 1) scheduled dates, 2) necessary parts for repair, etc. Also, Sears recent protocol of forcing Maintenance Agreement customers who call the 1-800-4myhome # to speak with a tech support person EACH and EVERY time you call who encourages "self-repair" rather than just listening to the caller who is livid about a second, third, and fourth necessary appointment for the same problem is bad business and not customer friendly. Our cracked back panel problem is FINALLY corrected, but Im totally frustrated with the 1-800 phone system and have had to commit extra days off from work to accommodate computer errors on Sears part.

Extremely over priced. Paid 165.00 for a microwave latch (over the range) to be installed. Part cost $3.85 on the parts website. It took the tech all of 5 minutes to install. Had a between 8-12 appointment and he arrived at 2. Left while I waited for the part to be delivered and he returned at 6 to finish the 5 minute installation. I will never use Sears home service again, i will just go local. Oh, he spent more time trying to sell me a rip-off total appliance warrantee than he did installing the part. 35 per month for 1 year plus a $60 deductible? gimme a break. Oh and $50 to include the A/C heating unit, including maintenance. Maintenance? Oh yeah, changing the filter in the A/C which I can do myself. I cant tell you what to do but for me? Never Again!

I am very disappointed and disgusted with Sears Appliance repair, we have been without use of our washing machine since December . Our last visit was today February 3 rd and we are still having problems, At what point does Sears decide that we have a Lemmon and replace the machine as stated in the maintenance contract. Sears has always had a good reputation , but I see how times have changed. Parts keep getting sent but the machine still doesnt work. I doubt very much if I will ever deal with Sears again, I now see why they are heading downhill rapidly. I doubt this review will be of any help and most likely fall upon deaf ears but what the heck, Its very sad and disappointing . Very Angry, Michael Ippolito

I had been given a time window of 10-2 and called at 2 to see where technician was and automated message informed me he wasnt coming until 3:30. I was leaving my home about 3 so I was very upset and called sears customer service which promised me a $50 Gift certificated which I have not received to date and the repair was done over 4 weeks ago. The repair man showed up about 2:30 and fixed my dryer and it works well now. Where is my GC???? Why do companies require such large windows of time? The consumers time is valuable too!

I scheduled service for my washing machine and no one showed up. When I called customer service they told me that the technician called out sick. No one notified me and I waited for 4 hours only to be told that no one was coming. I had to wait another week for the washer to be fixed. When I complained, I was given 15,000 shop your way reward points which equal $15. I will never buy from Sears again. Long gone are the days where you can rely on Sears quality and service. They are a dinosaur.

The most recent service visit was to correct a very serious omission made during a prior service visit. One of the two original technicians was present. He found the experience hilarious and never apologized for his mistake. I was without a washing machine for a little over four weeks and was definitely not amused. - The machine now seems to be working well, but the experience was annoying.

Sears technician arrived earlier than the quoted time and quickly identified the problem with my ice maker. He had a replacement in his truck and quickly installed it. He explained what had happened to the old ice maker and advised to not use the ice in the tray. Entire repair took less than 20 minutes. My only complaint was having to wait nearly two weeks for the service.

This was the 3rd service call to repair the water dispenser of my side by side refrigerator. It started the grinding sound AGAIN TODAY....OBVIOUSLY NOT FIXED. Its time for the repairman to stop blaming the filters. I changed it twice...same thing happened. The last repairman, Peter, didnt know how to shut the water off! Obviously, I need another service call!

CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH JARRED WAS OUTSTANDING! Consultant Sales Associate ROBERT SOTO most definitely should be PROMOTED TO MANAGER at the Quaker Bridge Mall in Lawrenceville. He is exceptional in taking pride in his job. The above personnel should be recognized for going over and above in caring for the Sears Customer. Dianna Dromboski
