Agree with reviews. Weights NEVER in place. Always hunting for a matched set. They have one purple set that is completely falling apart and peeling for 6 months now. Gross. I have many times found the soap dispensers empty and the Garbages overflowing. How does no one notice that? WHY is no one noticing that? The floor exercise area is way too cramped with the stretch machines right behind it. Theres only room for four or five people to do exercises. The spin room is about 30 degrees below zero and the bottom of the bikes are covered in dust and human hair. This is my fourth gym in the area and my least favorite. I dont use the pool or sauna so cannot comment. Its cheap but I still wouldnt recommend it. Im just too lazy to switch right now and its on my way home from work. They need a dedicated cleaning staff.... That is everyones complaint going back awhile now. They should listen to customer complaints and rectify. They have plenty of People working there to sign you up and take your money....but not anyone to maintain it?

The staff have a well-deserved reputation for not being professional and having an attitude of contempt towards the customers. Ive witnessed the staff yelling at customers, lying during the sales process, and too many other things. The locker rooms are often filled with high levels of proafnity as those of the same ilk talk to each other. The equipment is ok but youll find half of the TVs on the treadmills not working with no intention of being fixed. Child care is good. I am still a member because its close to home and inexpensive and the equipment works so .... I put up with the low-character staff and other annoyances.

Place is always dirty. It has been open just over a year now and it looks as if it has been open for years. There is never any soap in dispensers or paper towels in them. Also the pool and hot along with other equipment break down once a week. If your looking for a gym go somewhere else anywhere is better then this place. Also the people working there..... Lazy as hell never go around and pick up weights and the trainers dont even train people, I have seen two trainers actually working there and they are gone they saw what a dump this place is.

First, the staff is lazy. This is what you get when a bunch of kids run things. The guy there USED to clean up but since nobody else works, he decided not to either. When things break, it takes a long time to fix. Basketball was down for a month with a broken backboard. Pool was also down and was green for a while (youd think they would put fresh water in after it sat stagnant for a month). Rubbish is strewn all over the place and steroids is common place (same guy comes in and bee lines it right to the stall)

I have been a member of a lot of clubs in the Holmdel area and the La Fitness in Holmdel is by far the best. I love taking the classes and playing basketball on the weekends. The new manager is great, very helpful and does a great job keeping the club clean. I have lost 20 pounds so far this year and cant wait for this summer :)

The staff is generally very friendly and helpful. The classes that are offered are professional and well-taught. The showers could be cleaner. Perhaps consider replacing rusty metal, for example (towel rack in the pool area) , shower rods, and metal around the lights in the showers with non-metal material.

Agree with other reviews. Used to go to LA Fitness in South Plainfield. It was beautiful, clean, great hours, friendly staff. When we moved here, I couldnt believe it was even the same company. Disgusting, staff is horrible and rude, and hours are terrible. Just quit and am looking for a new place.

L.A. Fitness is by far the best gym I have ever belonged to. The staff is always smiling, and there to answer any questions you may have. The club is spotless and contrary to many other clubs the noise is minimal. Going to the gym for me is now something to look forward to.

They need to improve on their class schedules!!! Its always not accurate and updated. We dont like to know who is going to be our instructor today at the last minute. Its really not convenient for us to plan our own schedule.

Front desk staff is extremely patient and helpful, especailly on weekend mornings. Welcoming, hospitable environment. Cleaning staff does a good job with keeping the club in order. Staff will go out of their way to help you.

Deserved or not, this LA Fitness has a "so-so" reputation among Holmdel residents whom Ive asked about it. There was a perception in 2015-early 2016, that the gym and pool werent particularly well maintained.

The pool is very small it only has three lanes and so many people crowd into your lane you cant really get a good swim its always crowded the locker rooms are dirty went decided to go to the YMCA

Seemed clean and machines functional. Only downside is place was soooo packed. Id probably drive to another if close enough to avoid the crowd in the evening in the weight area.

The gym is fairly new and the staff is pretty friendly. Its in a great location in the new Clark Commons strip mall. The facility is really big and the locker rooms are clean.

The staff here is very rude and unprofessional, the pool is very small only has 3 lines, we came there on weekdays each line has 2 to 4 people. And the spa is not very clean.

This place is a joke. Bathrooms are disgusting and the main floor is a mess too. Equipment broken for weeks and a good amount of the tvs on the treadmills have never worked.

I just hate the weekend hrs. I work until 6 or 630 in the evening. That doesnt leave me anytime at all to get a workout in so Im just beat till mondays

Its been almost 3 months and theirs 3 broken cable machines, the gym is always packed and its almost impossible to use the 1 cable rack

This Gym is great! Swimming pool, sauna, a ton of machine and floor space. I but expensive if your on a budget, but worth the price!

The Jacuzzi is always filthy. The water is never changed, but just keeps on adding to it.
