My experience at Aamco of Matawan NJ was a joke. The manager Cassandra has no idea what she is doing. She lies when she tells you she will call you back, but I guess at Aamco they will say anything to get your money. They even have an actual speech behind the counter telling them to tell the customer to ask family or friends for the money just so they get the sale. Anyways, she went ahead after I told her not to do the work because I couldnt afford it at this time. Dont get me wrong the mechanic was wonderful its not his fault he has to do what she says. 5 days my car was there then after all that I had to come back so they can get another part that once again she said she would call me because at this point I was taking my car. She didnt call me again I had to call her and still wait an extra day for part to come in.

Started out with a simple transmission diagnosis, as I was experiencing an intermittent OD blinking light. Day one, they took $60 to tell me what I already knew was wrong with it, except they said I needed to drop the pan to check fluid. So 2 days later I went in, $70 more and they said I needed a rebuilt tranny. The problem is that the car ran fine before I took it in for the pan drop, and when I drove it away, the transmission started slipping, and wont even go in reverse. They didnt even check to put the transmission fluid back correctly. So now I am stuck with a vehicle that I can not even sell for a reasonable price..had to junk it. Thanks Aamco..Please please...stay away.

These people are amazing. I am a Sandy Survivor who is also organizing for Occupy Sandy. I had to purchase a used truck to continue my efforts. They did an awesome job quick turn around and treated me like part of the family. I never wanted a personal mechanic although now that I have one its ok if things go wrong. Cassandra is so friendly and welcoming as your enter the facility. Dan was amazing explaining the details. Gary took care of us after hours. All was a GREAT experience.

Ive been going here for years Gary and his wife are great people and the men in there shop are professional and they work on all makes and models I bring them my old suv to work on and my new BMW they can fix anything with wheels stop in and give them a shot you will not regret it u have my word on it I now live in east Brunswick but I still bring my cars to them

They tried to rip off my ex wife for work her car didnt need. I took her to my mechanic and he did the repairs honestly for four times less. If anyone has a problem with me saying so just reply here with a time and a place we can meet and well talk instead of having people threatening my ex woman. Lets see if you can intimidate me into removing my review.

We got a new transmission for $4000 on a 2011 pilot. So far so good. Took it on a 400 mile drive and it felt fine. We didnt have time to shop around for prices so I dont know if we overpaid or not. Staff was nice and kept us up to date on progress and got us car by the promised time. We would go back.
