Integrity, customer focused and extremely competent is how I would describe this second generation tire and car care center. I have been going to Mullaneys for 2 years now getting both my BMW and Ford Explorer serviced there. Mullaneys is not just a car and service center it is a fully fledged mechanics. I started off bringing my Ford there after the dealership prices were getting too expensive (on parts that never seemed to be covered on the manufacturer warranty) but I was always concerned about whether an independent car center would be able to provide good workmanship when compared with a dealership. After a few visits with the explorer for more detailed works I realized how good they were and brought my BMW in for some needed repairs. I compared the pricing between Mullaneys and BMW and found that Mullaneys usually came in around 50% less (give or take 10% depending on the jobs and parts needed). They are also a BMW certified shop and parts are genuine BMW sourced from a local BMW dealer. The 50% cost difference is about the same when compared to Ford (parts also sourced from local Ford dealership). Mullaneys also identified components on my Ford that should have been changed within my warranty coverage or service plan but the work just wasnt carried out. It took me around 2 years to put Mullaneys through its paces first giving them minor work and then stepping up to more complex tasks and comparing pricing with my dealerships. In June of this year I let my warranty on the Explorer lapse for the first time ever instead opting to defer to Mullaneys. I never really got my moneys worth on the Ford Warranty because so many things just werent covered. The warranty on my BMW ends this December and I will be deferring all works to Mullaneys since I know now that I can trust their workmanship and the fact that theyll provide genuine parts and wont rip me off. There are not many things harder than finding a good honest car center but I couldnt be happier with these people hence the shining review!

I am baffled by the one star reviews of Mullaney Tire & Car Care. Mechanic shops rank as poorly as used car salesmen when it comes to trust. None of us are happy when we have to spend money repairing our cars, so all any of us want is to find an honest mechanic shop that actually does the work they say we need without selling us services we dont. That is EXACTLY what Mullaney car care does. And get this... they do it at a fair price. Over the years I have had a lot of work performed here. From minor fluid changes to major items like transmission work. Mullaney has never not done the work they said they were going to do. They have never scammed me. In the one case where the work done to my vehicle needed to be revisited, the owner got me back into the shop immediately. If you want your car fixed properly, at a fair price, this is MOST DEFINITELY where you want to go. PERIOD Regarding the owner - anytime I wait there I get a better understanding of why they are so busy. The owner knows peoples names. He talks with people. He gets to know his customers. He explains the problems. He explains the unanticipated problems that sometimes arise when someone opens your car. He shares pictures of what is broken. When people request, you can see the broken parts that have been replaced. What is it most important is that your car gets fixed correctly, the first time and has you leave confident that you were not taken advantage of because other shops have created this type of feeling throughout society. After I became a customer, my parents became customers and my friends continue to become customers. Over the years I have never received a call from someone I referred there telling me they were upset with the work done at Mullaney Tire and Car Care. If I seem so passionate about this it is because I dont want to see a good business and good people receive unfair criticism.

Stay away. Joe did not explain to me that in order to diagnose the problem he would charge me 100 per hour. I walked away thinking it would be 80 to service my car and it was 300. He most likely would have charged 400 if I were not so upset over the phone prior to pick up. Typical bait and switch. I marked on my drop off envelope that he was not to proceed with repairs over 100. I already know whats wrong with my car and I dont need him to charge me 100 per hour to tell me whats wrong with it and figure out how much more hes going to charge me to have it fixed. And in these hard economic times, he told me that maybe I shouldnt have a car since I cant afford it. Nice customer service. He said that you wouldnt go to Shoprite if you couldnt afford to buy anything. I was so upset that I could not respond that yes, I can go grocery shopping, I just would only spend what I can afford. Again, I know whats wrong with my car because my garage in the City has advised me of the problem and yet they didnt charge me for the "diagnosis".

My entire family have been bringing our cars to Mullaney Tire for well over ten years and we could not be more satisfied with the service that they provide. They make sure that the work done on your car is done correct. They are honest, reliable, and have highly qualified people working there. One example of this was around 8 years ago. An emissions light went on in my car. They looked over my car and ran a computer diagnostic (which costs over a $100 to do at a dealership). Latter that day it was determined that it would be expensive to fix. However, before they began working they called me and ask me to check with the manufacture to see if it was still covered. I did and as it turns out I got the repairs for free at the dealership where I bought the car. In my opinion that is a business looking out for the best interest of their clients.

I am a new driver and just bought my first car. Whenever I need work done to my car (whether its maintenance or repairs) I always bring it to Mullaney. He always takes the time to explain things and doesnt take advantage of little ol’ me :) He’s very quick to advise on the priority of the work and is willing to help me save $$ where I can. Towards the end of 2013, I was driving downhill in snow and ended up slamming my front end into a curb leaving considerable damage. Joe was able to get me back on the road quickly and the repairs were just what the doctor ordered. Seriously … perfect – he actually gave it back to me in better condition then before the accident! Thanks to the expertise of Joe and all the mechanics at Mullaney my car feel like brand new again!!

Amazing service, honest family run place. New to the area and stumbled upon them thorough internet search. I couldnt be happier with my experience. They treated me like one of the family, every one from Joe Jr to Joe Sr, (AKA Bud) was so kind and helpful. Bud even picked me up each night from my office so that my car could be worked on during the day. They are honest and their prices are good and comparable to others in the area. I am so happy I found them and will never go anywhere else for service on my car! Thank you Joe and Bud and the rest of the gang for making my car drive so nicely again and most importantly for making it safe so I could give it to my daughter to drive!
