Hate to give this place a bad review, but Im currently dealing with an absolute nightmare trying to cancel my membership. And it looks like Im not the only customer after reading these other reviews. I was told there would be no issues if I had to cancel due to having to move for work, and so far Ive been trying to cancel my membership for over two weeks. I left several emails and voicemails for managers to contact me back but no reply. Each time Im told its canceled, either by Medford or their billing company, and then the billing company continues to still charge me. Between Medford Fitness and their billing company (**mostly their billing company), I have never experienced such lack of organization and structure on how to handle communication and client services. Love the gym and the people there (Charise & Nick the managers are great), but wouldnt recommend others to get a membership here unless youre definitely going to be staying for years at a time.

Obviously this is my own personal experience. I decided to join this gym about a year ago as a friend mentioned this was where they were a member. Overall, the facility is fairly small, and during peak hours parking is limited. Shortly after I joined, my friend left for another gym. Ive had some staff be nice, and others are rather rude. For the price, I wish I went with the other local gym. At one point, I had switched my CC information on file with their billing company, and yet was charged for late fees - as they said they still only had the old CC information on file. I argued, but never got a credit. Then, I canceled my membership in April (which as stated in the contract they will charge you for two months thereafter) and I just found out theyre still charging me (three months later). So now I have to argue that. Personally, its just been an overall bad experience.

Be forewarned...once you join, it is almost impossible to end your membership. Ive been a member for quite some time and like the facility and the instructors. But my son is having a nightmare trying to cancel his membership. When he joined, he had just graduated from college and was assured that if he got a job that required him to move, he wouldnt have any problem cancelling his membership. He told the Medford Fitness person who sold him the membership that he was looking for a job in Philadelphia and was assured that if he moved to Philly, he could cancel. Well, he got a job in Philadelphia and moved to Center City. Hes been trying to cancel his membership and has had to deal with ABC Financial Services. This has been going on for several months. He sent them proof of his new address as they requested and and they still refuse to terminate it. Infuriating!

Just like every other fitness center on the planet, managed like it doesnt make money. Was a loyal member for a number of years. Tried to cancel back in August in person, understood I was only going to be charged two more months, found out Im still being charged and had to cancel again. Very disappointed. Other local gyms, like Snap Fitness, are smaller but much better run. 2 stars because they have a lot of equipment. Otherwise its expensive for the lackluster quality and the hours on weekends are terrible.

I joined a few months ago for to take a few classes. The owner seems to only care about the upstairs equipment/body building. The aerobic studio floor is dirty. The walls of the halls are painted a horrible white and are dirty. The womens bathroom sinks are caked with grime-I kid you not-brown on white. The decor is left over from the 70s or 80s. The entrance is screaming urine yellow with dirty walls and a handful of half dead plants... Hello, anybody home in that brain?

I am soooo thanks full to Medford Fitness and the staff for changing my life. I have lost 26 pounds and I no longer drink coffee since my energy is way up. I just cant describe how I look and feel which is about 15 years younger.

Cancellation problems just like other customers. Go to snap. They have a better run system and cheaper and if you need to cancel you dont have to pay for not even going. Unreal

Always seem to be fixing something there. New ownership took over recently so hopefully they improve some things. I like that they have racquetball courts.
