I received a gift card worth $425.00 that I needed to use at liberty. I stopped into the Massapequa Park location and sat down with Daniella to discuss my plans to fly to Aruba and to get rates of reasonable hotel accommodations. She suggested the Marriott since they were running 40% off. She gave me the figures for the 4 nights I mentioned. I also explained my companion had points. I left and told her I was returning the next day with my companion. In the interim he calculated his own expenses dealing directly with Marriott. We returned to Daniella and after back and forth we decided we could get a better rate ourselves and we ask that they just book the flight to use the voucher. Since the flight was more than the voucher she said we could not pay by credit and they could only take cash. They could not take credit since the gift card was considered cash and they could not split the cost between two different types of payments. She never told me this yesterday. I was going to get the cash but after talking to Jeannie we decided not to deal with Liberty. My sister and brother in law was at that agency a few days before and presented their gift cards. I found out that the agent processed the entire transaction as cash and they had no problem whatsoever. Of course $30.00 transaction fee was taken from each party. I was upset that they had no problems (didnt require to have cash) and paid with a credit card. I called Liberty back and spoke with Jeannie. Now she says I didnt know you were part of the Idelowitz party. We will take credit from you. So I was very outspoken in my comment to them then; You wanted cash only and we agreed to get the cash (which you had no intention of stopping us from going). Now they say we would have taken credit. According to your associate I said she wanted cash. They lied to get the cash and then lied again that they never said cash was the only option. Is this how your agents play with their customers. Its not nice to lie and then be caught in their lie. Everyone should be treated equally. I am totally disappointed as to how they both attemped to handle our travel arrangements.

This place is a joke!! If you need a travel agent look ANYWHERE else!! Please I beg you! I used Liberty Travel to book my wedding in Mexico. WORST decision ever!! I ended up going through 3 different travel agents during my time and wasnt notified about the first one leaving or getting fired (whatever happened I dont know). I was promised certain benefits from the first agent which come to find out she couldnt come through on. I never received anything in return for the terrible customer service and the mistakes. They just take your money and dont care at all. Once again PLEASE look SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Those who are going to purchase travel insurance through Liberty Travel please beware I made that mistake only to find out it was absolutely worthless and a waste of money it covered nothing they probably knew that but they took my money anyway only to find out that if youre traveling outside this country and need to be evacuated back in they will not allow you to fly out of that particular country if you have a card like passport it does you absolutely no good I found that out the hard way travel agency knew that but they let me get the insurance anyway knowing that it was no good

DO NOT book your vacation or trip through LIBERTY TRAVEL. They are disingenuous, ruthless and do not care how your vacation turns out. all they want ius YOUR MONEY. After that they clean their hands of everything. I had a very bad vacation experience booking with them. They dont give a damn, are incompetent and disgraceful. They shouldnt even be in business. Friendly suggestion book your own hotel and airfare and spare your self a lot of money and grief!!!!!! These guys are bogus!!!!!
