Pam Popat (with her partner, Pat Lopez) was the selling agent for our Sparta, Lake Mohawk, NJ home. Even though our Buyer was demanding and unreasonable (even Buyers closing attorney communicated this to our attorney), Pam worked hard to get us to fulfill Buyers every whim. For example, we had a custom-made built-in workshop in our garage which Buyer wanted gone. Pam advised us to oblige Buyer by referring us to HER handyman. $700 later, the Buyer and Pams handyman were both happy. We moved out of our house a month earlier than our preference, as per buyers closing date request. However, closing was delayed by two months because Buyer had trouble getting a mortgage, due to her poor financial shape/credit history (of which Pam Popat should have informed us before we decided to accept the offer.) The house sat empty, and Pam rudely emailed us pictures of our lawn, requesting that we cut it. (Perhaps, a polite phone call would have worked better.) She knew we had sold our lawn equipment prior to vacating the house, and you would think she would take care of the lawn in preparation for our delayed closing! Our attorney actually asked Pam to hire someone to cut the grass. He said this was reasonable, considering how much money she makes on the sale. Pam claims that she called five people and couldnt get anyone to do it. What utter nonsense! Pam is a decent agent if you want to close at any cost, but please dont use her if you want her to advocate for you. Our horrific experience with Pam Popat had left us feeling taken advantage of, manipulated and deceived. We bought our first house 21 years ago through her, and we also allowed her to act as the Buyers agent (and collect a hefty commission) for a townhouse we FOUND OURSELVES. Shame. Her commission is all that she cares about. She is good at figuring out who she can drain money from to get to the closing quickly. Fairness and decency are secondary to her.

Amazing person, first-rate realtor! The above review is the first negative review Ive heard of Pams work in the 30+ years that I have watched her real estate career. Too bad that in this day an age, when something doesnt work out how you want it, you can just go online and trash someone. In the real estate business, you never know what you are going to get when it comes to an agent. With Pam, you know exactly what you are going to get - honesty, reliability, and service. Shes never been in it for the commission; shes in it to help you fulfill your dreams. Every single person Ive referred her to is thrilled with her service, and most have used her multiple times. The proof is in the years of satisfied customers, not in a single misguided persons review.
