Ok gym, but... be careful OUTSIDE! I went there after work one day, went tanning and used that opportunity to change into my gym clothes. I ran back to my car to throw my clothes in and when I came back my window was smashed in and gym bag stolen.. AND my purse out of the trunk! obviously someone saw me go in and out and thought there was an opportunity.. I live about a mile away in a good neighborhood, I guess I forgot that a mile in the other direction was NOT.. (Sorry..) Im thinking about going back.. but idk.. I see more bad reviews so Im unsure. I go to Planet Fitness now, but none in the area.. (I moved away and back again) *sigh*

Watch out when you try to cancel this membership. I called ABC financial, I told them to cancel. They told me to go to the gym and cancel, went to the gym they told me to call ABC financial. I dont have time for this run around so I just canceled my card. Now I am getting emails telling me that I am going to be sent to collections. This is ridiculous I signed up when this gym first opened this is supposed to be month to month. You would think that you would get better treatment being a member for 10 years. This is absolutely horrible I do not recommend getting this membership you wont be able to get out!

The African American girl, maybe older 20s was complaining about making smoothies. She looked at me moments later and said, What do you want. I responded, well Hi? I would like... she then said oh I didnt even measure that smoothie right and continued to make it. My girlfriend was waiting in the car and I told her how rude this girl was. Her response was describing her and said oh my god thats the girl I told you about when I came here last year when visiting my grandma here in Neptune !!! Remember how rude she was... is this a family member of the owner?!? What a disgrace

Dont go to this gym and if you do, dont leave your keys on the key rack. My boyfriends black Hyundai Santa Fe was STOLEN right in the front of their parking lot!!! He was working out, middle of the afternoon, and someone took his keys from the key rack (right in front of the front desk!) and stole it with his valuable possessions inside. Whats even worse is that the camera that points at the key rack is BROKEN. I dont recommend this gym if your car could easily get stolen right out front and they dont even have working cameras. Terrible place. Do not go there.

i will never be going back to this Retro, this is not my regular local gym but while a family member is in the hospital i figured i would try it. All of the wieghts are crammed in a little back corner finding barbell plates is near impossible, there is no one re-racking the weights and most people leave them on the equipment so you are stuck guessing whether it is in use or not. I will not be going back here and it is a shame i hae enjoyed evey other retro and i very much enjoy my main gym in sayreville.

If I could rate this a "0" I would !! HORRIBLE experience at this gym I recently had a baby and asked the manager to freeze my account due to medical issues I was put on bed rest he said he would do so and never did after numerous attempts to contact him and do so I still never got a response and now my account is on my credit. They hound you about payment but have the worst customer service!!!!!!!! DEFINITELY not recommended switching to Jersey Shore Fitness in Bradley Beach !!!!!!

Been a member for about 7 or 8 years now n this center has gone down-hill. Old staff was great... For the most part the new staff is nice as well but w such a constant turn over dont get to know them as we use to w the old staff that seemed to have stayed longer... Someone use to walk around n clean n it smelled fresh for the most part equipment was wiped down NOW Always dirty or machines broken n it sometimes smell not very good anymore sad

Hate this gym, its more expensive then the regular gym and gets nothing more. You have to write them a letter and send it in the mail to cancel you membership for you will continue to get charged. Not worth the 25 dollars a month.Please do me a favor and go somewhere else. Also the service is terrible because all they want to do is relax unless they are trainer. I will never return.I dont write reviews but I felt the need too.

Horrible gym equipment is never working or the gym is way horribly crowded also the equipment is dirty also they never wipe the stuff down it seems not only that but there hours are the worst part in the weekends they close at 6:00 PM who closes on a Saturday at 6:00 ? Anyways canceling my membership with this gym Im sick of this non sense

Best bang for buck. Friendly staff and more than your basic equipment. Everything is well kept compared to many other gyms iv been to in the area. Be a good neighbor and sanitize your equipment after you are done working out and keep this place as nice as it looks.

Nice gym except for the water fountain. The water tastes disgusting and there was spit in the water fountain and got on my cup. That is disgusting! I will never touch their water again

Excellent gym. I mainly love it because it is not too crowded, the equipment is clean, the air quality is clean, the staff is always cool, and i can always have a great workout here.

The manager Cliff refuses to accept guest passes because it states "restrictions may apply", will suck $10 out of anyone he can.
