This place gets a 2 star rating just for the accessibility in terms of distance from my apartment and good equipment. First they had a different price online than they did in the store. I even took a screenshot to prove to them and they wouldnt just take it at face value. I didnt feel like arguing so I just paid the extra $20 they claimed I had to pay. Fine. Then I find out I cant bring my friend on my free passes but "need a new friend" every day. Excuse me? No. Im paying an extra fee solely for that purpose. Planet fitness is cheaper and allows me to bring my friends on my free passes unlimited. Get it together Crunch. Im paying over double the basic pass price solely for that purpose. Finally, having a hectic schedule because of work, I often have to come late without a protein shake. So I finish at 10:20 pm and try to buy an overpriced protein shake they sell and the guys told me the register is closed! ARE YOU KIDDING? You close at 11:00pm and you close your registers early??? No unacceptable as a business. Being in customer service plenty times before, I know you CANNOT close the registers until the posted closing hour, on the hour, NOT a minute before. So glad I got the month to month gym pass. I will not be paying for the next month and go to 24 hour and/or planet fitness.

The gym itself is average. Machines are kept in fair condition. Personal training however, is a MESS! Cons of personal training: 1) Super expensive 2) if you have a last min emergency and you cannot cancel before 24hours you lose a session (over $50 down the drain). It is supposed to be up to your trainer whether to dock your class but in my experience, leniency is out of the question 3) Scheduling is a constant struggle, though the trainers have a calendar and try to maintain use of It, you have to constantly remind and check in with them about when you are or are not attending class. Even if you are detailed about dates and times in written messages, things still get lost in translation. It is quite unprofessional. 4) If you ever have an issue with your trainer, refunds are out of the question. They will place you with another trainer and do nothing else to remedy the situation. There is no accountability for the trainers. 5) Obtaining training to fit your needs seems to be like pulling teeth. The trainers usually do what they choose. To conclude, spending thousands of dollars for this gym to get personal training is not worth it. I will not be getting additional personal training sessions here.

I just joined under the premium plus membership. Gym is new and equipment is in good condition. Class availability is minimal but class instructors are decent so far - YOGA is great, Saturday Zumba needs work. I was disappointed to find out that their Premium+Plus GUEST privileges are not actual guest privileges, but instead they are lead generation opportunities for the gym. Unlike planet fitness, you are not allowed to bring the same guest in irrelevant of whether theyve been their with you before or not, 1 guest will get a minimum days pass (basically a free-trial pass, just like they would offer to ANYONE interested in signing up for a gym membership). For bringing them leads, YOU get to pay an extra few dollars. I like the gym, but Im not a fan of false advertising. These are not "guest privileges" for the member. These are "lead generation opportunities" for your staff...lets just be honest, lets just be real..

Good: Spacious...lot of cardio machines...lot of free weights and assisted machines..not too crowded if you stay away during peak hours 4-8pm...if you go before 4pm, you can get a full workout done relatively easily Bad: the locker rooms get messy...bathroom stalls smell...paper towel here and there..even the lockers get messy sometimes..you get the picture Worst: Dumbbells everywhere...free weights everywhere...finding weights in itself can be a workout...extremely unorganized...there are no weight racks...people hang their clothes in random places....the staff dont rack the weights at the end of the day...sometimes I come in the morning and still see weight plates and dumbbells everywhere. Nothing is in its proper place..Never seen a staff member wiping down the machines. Seriously??? This gym has potential and a little care from the staff and the management will make the experience better.

I am very disappointed with the customer service provided today by the manager. (Freddy) was the name given, as he told my guess that she could not come in as my guest because she had previously visited the gym. I informed him that when I signed up for the PEAK PLUS MEMBERSHIP I was told that I can bring a guest every time and that was the reason I picked the plan. He said that you can only bring the same guest 3 consecutive days every six months. He also stated that this is part of the business plan to bring in more members. False advertisement by the franchise or just poor customer service by the manger? Either way I decided to cancel my membership because of it. If looking for a gym in the Richmond Hill neighborhood BLINK offers a $25 membership that allows you to bring in your guest as many times as you please.

This place literally tries to scam you out of your money. Word of advice, if you decide to cancel your membership for any reason, make sure to do it 10 days before the month ends, for whatever reason. If you are a single day late then you are forced to pay for the next month. In my case I tried to cancel 5 days before the month because IT LITERALLY DOES NOT SAY TO CANCEL EARLY ANYWHERE! So now I am stuck with a membership for 1 month at the price of $50 because it just so happens its time for my yearly fee as well. This gym may look enticing with its low sign-up fees but they will trap you and force you to pay if you dont act quickly. The inside of the gym is nothing special, the equipment is standard. I guess with this gym, you get what you pay for...

The yoga class is very good, equipment looks new, the front desk however, is a disaster. Prior to taking the yoga class I said my intention was to join the gym provided that the class was good. After the class I said I was interested in getting a membership and the girl behind the desk handed me a flyer...and thats about it. I awkwardly left, if I decide to join, I think signing up online would be the way to go.

The fitness centers that Ive been to are first and foremost business centers. At Crunch, I feel lucky to have found a real health and fitness center. Super spacious, all kinds of new equipment, awesome group fitness classes, and hydromassager. Clean, spacious restroom, lockers and shower rooms. Overall, such a welcoming atmosphere! All of these for an extremely affordable membership. I just love my gym!!

Went here for a free trail, and I got to say, its so much better than Blink. They have a lot more cardio machines and a lot more heavy weight machines upstairs. The staff were friendly and the music was good. I love the fact that there are so many machines and treadmills to choose from. No need to wait in line like other gyms. They also have dance classes that girls can attend to. Highly recommended.
