My son has been attending MMA classes from the day they started the Future Warriors program, almost three years ago. Since then, hes got the "bug" and now wants to attend all available classes, as the coaches and other students are almost becoming part of our extended family. The influence has been so impactful that now the entire family works out here! As for the facilities, the academy is well equipped, with all of the stuff anyone would/could need to practice just about any martial art. Theres a nice waiting room for the parents, with its own bathroom and glass windows to watch the kids working out. Yes, Wi-Fi is available. For those looking to join, try a couple of classes and come to your own conclusion. I didnt need to try it out, I just watched the coaches and students and that was enough for me. I cant recall ever seeing anyone with an attitude or trying to show off or anything like that, as I think the coaches would probably put them in their place real quick. They have a very convenient App that lists all schedules, and it even allows you to pull it right into your own calendar, so you can set reminders. The pro shop has what you need to get started and can get anything (related to MMA) you may ask for, and the prices arent out of line with online competitors. In any case, you will meet people from all sorts of backgrounds here, from all over the world, so set aside some extra time as new friends will be made and the conversations do get interesting!

I have trained in martial arts for over 35 years and this by far the best school I have trained at. It caters to all individuals from aspiring fighters to people looking for a workout and to protect themselves. The coaches and trainers are knowledgable, patient and encouraging to all students regardless of level. I found Strategic when my old school closed while training for a tournament. My sensei trains here and the owner invited me to train so I could compete. From day one I was treated like family, the staff is friendly and welcoming, the instructors are top notch and practice everything they teach. I joined and have been here for over 18 months and my son is not a student in the kids program. He has gained confidence and is a different person in both school and at home. Sensei Nestor and Coach Ryan have such enthusiasm working with the kids it is infectious. And much like the adult classes, the kids all help one another to learn. There is no egos, just good people wanting to help one another become better and have a good time while doing it. And how much does my family love this place, we travel about 30 minutes without traffic to come here, thats how good this place is.

There is a reason this place has 5 stars across the board. Im in my mid twenties and Ive never taken a martial art. I wanted to learn how to defend myself and others, what I got was so much more. Firstly people here know what they are doing, and if you give them your effort, they will help you through anything. In maybe two weeks people start to feel like family. No one judges you here no one criticizes you or makes you feel unwelcome. You just need to come equipped with one thing, the desire to achieve. You might see the price tag and call it a day, I can tell you from experience looking for a gym your not going to find any thing around here cheaper and the price is reasonable. You get so much more than you pay for here. I implore you to visit and take a class, ask the people first hand what they feel about the place ask them their stories on how they got started. It might be intimidating seeing all these people in great shape, I can tell you first hand, not all of us started out that way, I know I didnt. I love these people. Please come by. -Cookie Monster

Havent officially joined yet but absolutely 100% will be joining ASAP! Place is amazing, people are awesome/helpful, and prices are very reasonable and competitive for what you get. I have an extremely limited martial arts background but had a phenomenal beginner experience with a BJJ and Muay Thai trial class. Before I visited, I was considering joining another gym as well just for lifting (was training for powerlifting), but not anymore as Strategic has everything you need and more in their weights/fitness area. If youre a bodybuilder, however, you might wanna look elsewhere...or, better yet, just stop bodybuilding lol. You can do strength and conditioning classes here or you can lift on your own if the classes arent going on. Trust me though, youll definitely get your sweat on and a good workout in just by taking the different martial arts classes alone. As soon as I get my first paycheck, I will be buying gloves, shinguards, a gi, and will be pumped to call myself a member and student at Strategic Academy!

I couldn’t have found a better school for my teenage son. The training goes above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. The staff, instructors and members are all amazing. After having the opportunity to try any of the classes that interested him, my son found his calling in Brazilian Jui Jitsu and puts all his focus into that. One of the great things about his instructors is that they don’t just move him along in rank because he completed the required 2 months, if he does not yet possess the skill he does not rank up and it doesn’t matter how long it takes. In this day and age children get rewarded just for showing up, my son is being taught that if he wants something that he better be dedicated and willing to work hard for it and I do mean work hard. The transformation I have seen in him in the 1-1/2 years he has been training is amazing and I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking to become the best they can be.

Strategic Combat Academy is excellent for kids. My 6-year old son has been going to classes there under the Little Warriors program for several weeks and loves the place. The coaches really work well with all the kids, no matter how inexperienced they are in martial arts. The coaches are able to mix in some non-competitive games into the martial arts lessons to allow the kids to have fun and to build their confidence. The families and other kids have been very supportive and friendly too. Dont let the name intimidate you into thinking this is a gym only for macho "ultimate fighter" types - this is also a terrific martial arts school for children ages 5 and up.
