The management is horrible. I was charged more than what I was promised and in order to get my refund back, I have been calling them for over a month (and they still argue about giving it back to me). The staff does not communicate with each other, so everytime you call you are starting your story from scratch and explaining it to a new person who has no idea of what happened before. If you need to speak to the manager, Lord wish you luck because you will never get through Laura! It is a great gym but the hassles that you have to go through billing are just horrible. I took my son to swim lessons. They are not organized at all. They dont know which child is coming at what time. They have it mixed up multiple times. They promised us 1 instructor per 3 kids and in one lesson they had 4 kids for one instructor which is a big safety concern as a parent. When I brought this up to them, they said, well we meant "a minimum of 3 kids per instructor! ) All in all, I would give the gym management a black negative star if I could. I will never ever go there again. If you are looking to get robbed or get a headache over your money, you can go there, but my advice is to not go there. The place may be nice but the management is horrible. They dont return your phone calls and when you finally reach the person you are looking for, they say they never got the message. It is a hot mess! I would never ever recommend this gym to anyone.

HORRIBLE! I am 8 months pregnant with a high risk pregnancy and have belonged to NYSC for over 1 year prior to getting pregnant. I had the rest of my family sign up as well including my husband. I am writing because I went to cancel last month in person due to health issues and had a confrontation with the manager there. I was unaware that I would be charged to cancel. Finally I accepted the fact and told him to just cancel my membership and left. Now, a month later, I see that I was charged for another month and a renewal fee of $56.00! I had my husband call and speak to the manager. The manager said that I told him NOT to cancel it, which is a complete lie. The manager told him not to bother contacting corporate because "they wont help you" and that they will leave it up to him and he refuses to refund us because he "didnt like my attitude".....I am apalled at the service and the treatment I just received from this institution. My husband and my family members are looking at different gyms if this isnt resolved accordingly and our funds reinbursed. I was charged for an extra month as well as a "renewal fee" and now he is going to try to charge me to cancel?! This is unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and go with a gym that actually appreciates their customers.

I have been going to this gym for about two years now and lately, I have been very disappointed. I feel like many people are spending money using the gym, but the gym is not spending money with the up-keep. This gym has been around for a while, so of course, certain machines and showers are going to break. There should be no reason why these situations are not fixed. There used to be lotion, conditioner and other items in the locker room, which is no longer there. They used to have free trials which is no longer available. I feel like in the past few years something has obviously changed with management because when I first started, I loved it. Now, I am pretty reluctant to go. Take the time and money to make your gym appealing and accommodating because it makes a huge difference to your customers. A lot of people can tell.

As if their prices arent bad enough. Personal trainers that are paid for dont schedule sessions. Then you lose your PAID sessions. Billing system is incredibly faulty for such a large company. Was sent to collections because they suddenly decided to no longer charge my active card on file, but instead switch & charge a random 8 year old card on file. Managers are rarely in the building. And when they are theyre not available. Yet the people at the desk cannot do anything in the computer system beyond checking you in. They wont even know the managers schedule if you ask. And dont bother trying to talk to someone outside of the gym branch. Its impossible to reach anyone in the corporate offices.

This gym has terrible customer service. I went to downgrade my membership because I did not have a need to go to multiple locations anymore and they wanted to charge me $70 even though I just paid the yearly $70 a month ago. I told him that that was ridiculous and I wasnt going to pay $70 while I was still staying a member and paying every month and they had no problem canceling my membership, it didnt even seem like they cared about their customers at all. For the amount to pay for this gym I could just go do a badass smaller gym , go to a different one in the area. Very disappointed after being a member for two years.

Gym is great. Its an awesome deal with getting a swimming pool, gym and basketball courts all in one. The one thing I cant get over is the fact that the courts are consistently dusty. I can count on my fingers the times that I played and I actually felt safe and had grip on my sneakers. Its like an ice skating rink. If the ny sports club team could be diligent with making sure the courts are cleaned daily then All of us ball players would enjoy ourselves. Its very frustrating worrying about injuries cause you may slip. Thank you guys

Today I went to gym and I was trying to get towel , there was a old woman her name is Kathy , she told me Im not allowed to take the towel , I was like what the heck , she said you have to ask for towel , I told her I dont like to talk with you she looks horrible , and made me disappointed, I heard she is so mean for several people , how rude she is , Im wondering, why they hiring wild people . Im going to quit to going there .

Hi today I try to close my account, because I m move to other city, but the people on front desk, they are Very rude, a manager simply turned her back on me and went away saying that and another nysc manager and a polite bad guy offended me with words and mocked me. I am very disappointed because I have been asking for information on how to act to cancel my member ship. Today around 9 am

I registered my son month-to-month during his summer break. I cancelled his membership before 30 days per their policy. I notice that they charged my $106.95 even though I cancelled. I visited there and told them. They said that they would refund it, but it has not happened yet. They are very sneaky. I dont recommend this NYSC at East Brunswick, NJ.

All the machines are extremely old. For instance, every week (like clockwork) a bunch of their cardio machines breakdown. There is dust everywhere. The paint on the walls and ceiling is chipping (especially above the pool). Its expensive for what it is. The facility has the potential to be a great gym if it got its act together.
