Just went here today to get brake pads done. They first asked me if I wanted front or rear pads done, so I told them both. When she Finally was able to give me a price, it was around $160. So, here I am, figuring it might come a little higher since its an estimate. After sending out for the wrong brake pads TWICE, she tells me the bill is $362.90. When I argue, she tries to tell me she said it was $160 per set. Theres no way I misheard her. I knew what I could afford. If she had told me it was upwards of $300, Id have waited a few days. AND, to top off this horrendous experience, the mechanic tried to tell me I needed brakes AND rotors or the brakes would pulsate horribly. But, guess what? Smoothest braking Ive had and he never touched the rotors! So, in summary, these people are liars and thieves! DO NOT VISIT this place of business!

Im glad it looks like you check your online reviews. Rockaway Midas has done my alignments for over 5 years, and from the old management (Ken) to the new management (Heidi/Nick) I have had very little to complain about. Until now. 2 weeks ago my mechanic had his pickup there for an alignment-they drove off the alignment rack while he watched his vehicle slam into the lift, putting a hole in the rocker. Afterwards they say we will take care of it, no worries. Now with a reasonable estimate for repair in hand, the story is "since there is no invoice for your vehicle there is no proof that it happened, so you are on your own." Unbelievable. Will never do business with these people again. Take your car somewhere trustworthy.

They are very honest and will walk you around your vehicle and show you anything that is wrong with it. They let me keep my Explorer in their parking lot for over a week when my engine blew before having it sent to the junk yard. They also inspected the new vehicle I purchased for free and informed me of several things that were wrong before I finalized the purchase. What more could you ask for? They are honest and always give you the bottom line up front with no BS. As for MkDj, I am not sure what issues you had with Ken, but my encounters with him have always been great.

Came in for an oil change and asked about an issue with my rattling heat shield. The service manager (Ed? I forget his name, unfortunately) told me that it could be an expensive fix because of the way Subaru makes them in a million pieces. After a closer look, though, he noticed that a single $25 tack weld would significantly improve the rattling situation. That plus the oil change were done in about 30 minutes and I was on my way with a much better-sounding vehicle. Thanks!

I took my Honda 2010 Pilot for an oil change and was pleased with the service, and that they were able to take me right away. The atmosphere is so inviting, and the people are extremely courteous. Heidi is great !! She was very patient and courteous, and knowledgeable about the services that Midas offers. I will definitely came back and have recommended that my friends go there as well.

Fast, friendly, well done service. Ive done a lot of servicing myself on my familys cars over the years, but my daughters car needed an oil change and the winter weather kept me from doing it myself. Ive come to this Midas before for things that I didnt want to do myself and never been disappointed. Far better than Jiffy Lube and far less expensive than a dealer.

The guy at the front desk is rude and very unprofessional. His name is Ken. He always gives you an attitude, and acts as if he doesnt want or need your business. Its even worse trying to deal with him over the phone. I went to this place a few times to get my oil changed. I wouldnt mind going back but I just dont want to deal with Ken anymore so i never go back.
