The first time I made the mistake of visiting this place (July 2014), I went to get the exhaust pipe on my 2007 Toyota Tundra replaced and ended up paying over $600 for a "custom" exhaust, new muffler, and everything that comes with those changes. At the time, I did not think anything of it other than the price being a little over the average, but I thought I was paying for quality service. I went back about four months later (November 2014) for brake service, tire balance, and truck alignment ($400). I provided them with the pads, rotors, disc brake shims-- all bought directly from Toyota and guaranteed original parts. Again, left without thinking much other than theyre a bit overpriced. However, six months later (May, 2015, less than a year since my first visit) The muffler theyd supposedly replaced was leaking so I went back only to be told the warranty did not cover the fact that theyd previously replaced only half the pipe, and I would have to pay for them to replace the whole thing. I was upset but I wanted my car fixed so I let them "fix it" and paid another $345. Unfortunately, things get worse. I took my truck to get a warranty repair at Toyota three months after that (October 2015) and asked them to check my brakes and found out that the brakes were aftermarket and missing brake shims!!! As previously stated, I provided Meineke with original parts, including shims, which my truck did not possess. When I called to complain the manager claimed Toyota sold me aftermarket parts and they just installed what I gave them... YEAH RIGHT! They were not helpful in any way or sympathetic about my situation, whether they were to blame or not.. which points me to the direction that they aare to blame. NEVER coming back here and will definitely be contacting authorities regarding my missing parts.

I went to get my brakes fixed here because they were offering 50% off for brakes. They also mentioned they have lifetime warranty on the brakes. The receptionist called me stating the rotors were bad and needed to be replaced. I agreed to replace the rotors and when I went to pay found out they resurfaced the front two rotors and only installed new rotors for the rear. At the time I didn’t think anything of it because I figured they knew what they were doing. After about a month there was a squeaking noise coming from the front driver side wheel when I braked. They took a look at it and mentioned it was something they did wrong and sent me on my way. After about two weeks the squeaking came back and I went into meineke for the third time. I overheard the manager talking to his employees saying when they first looked at the breaks they should have replaced the rotor instead of resurfacing. When I tried to argue with him about why they didn’t replace the rotors in the first place he mentioned they follow a specific protocol with the thickness of the rotors based on the manufacturer. I questioned his crews workmanship and why he didn’t just replace the rotors in the first place and his response was that’s not how we do business and actually told me to GET OUT. The manager does not care about customer service. They will try every scam in the book in order to siphon your money from you. Oh, and I found out the lifetime warranty is only on the pads, not on any of the labor. The warranty is really worth nothing in the end because they charge so much for the labor.

I religiously use this shop. They are by far the most professional mechanics I have ever delt with and I was a manager of a body shop for 3 years so I delt with mechanics from multiple shops and I can say hands down these are the best group of guys. The prices are beyond reasonable and they will never try to make you do more work then needed like almost every other shop does. The General Manger (Mike) is a great guy who is always honest and willing to work with his customers any way he possibly can. He makes you feel like more then just a customer, you feel like family. There is also a Shop Foreman (Andrew) who is also one of the nicest and most stand up guy I have ever met. Not to mention one for the best mechanics I have ever delt with. The entire shop is filled with A+ mechanics who repair vehicles not only quickly but they repair them the right way the first time. I was broken down in Toms River and instead of towing my vehicle to a shop down there I paid the extra money to have my vehicle towed to this location because I trust their work and know it will be fixed the right way and I will never be ripped off. So if you are looking for a repair shop I can not stress enough how highly I recommend this Meineke. GREAT WORK GREAT PRICES GREAT MECHANICS!!!!!

I have been going these guys for several years now, and have nothing but good things to say about them. They are friendly and do their best to do repair or replace what you need asap. The management knows which mechanics are more skilled at specific work (i.e. custom/aftermarket exhaust systems) and will use them to make sure you have the best possible work done. They will look for additional work that may need to get done (as does any service center) but wont badger you if you dont want it. If for some reason, work that they did either wasnt done right or failed, they make a concerted effort to rectify the problem for you. Both I and many of my friends have brought them a variety of different vehicles, from sport coupes (Pontiac GTO, Pontiac Trans-Am) to family vehicles (Subaru Outback, Chevy Blazer S-10) to large SUVs (GMC Yukon, Chevy Tahoe). I know enough about cars to do a lot of work myself, but when I dont have the tools or time for the job, I go to these guys.... Im not sure what happened with the guy below, but I personally would be willing to trust my familys vehicles to them in a heartbeat, and being a long-time resident of the area (over 20 years), I can tell you that these guys are legit.

I recently purchased a pre-owned Mazda MX-5 with a power retractable hard top. The top was rattling whenever I went over a bump. I was in the area and decided to pull into this shop to see if they might be able to adjust the clasp, which was loose and seemingly the cause of the problem. I dealt with Andrew, the foreman and Mike, the shop manager. They were confident they could perform the repair and gave me a very honest estimate depending on the amount of time. When Mike finished in less than 15 minutes, he said, "no charge". Are you kidding me? Who does that? They are so honest, kind, professional, decent, caring and equally competent. The rattle is now gone! I could not be happier with the service. The least I can do is write this honest review and go back with a box of donuts or something, which I will do in the near future. I will also make sure that for all my car needs, this shop is the first place I visit. Oh, and when I asked if I needed an oil change, Andrew checked it and said it was "clear and clean like honey, so theres no need to change it." Again, who does that? Thank you, Andrew and Mike, youve restored my faith in mechanics, and you have made a proud customer for LIFE!
