I found DePascal through Wedding Wire for makeup and hair services for my wedding. The reviews were nice and her website looked great so I emailed through Wedding Wire and chatted back and forth via email then through text. Christina seemed nice and responsive. I made an appointment for a trial. I showed up and was a bit taken back since I walked into boutique and not a salon. She had a chair set up in the corner of the store. I tried to be optimistic and went with it anyway. Christina did seem a little disorganized. The makeup came out heavy and looked caked up on my skin and was not anything like the picture I showed her. I wanted a simple cat eye and red lip. Neither of which I got. My hair was awful. When I sat down in the chair she applied gel to my dry hair and just started attempting a set with a curling iron. Didnt brush it out or anything. It was definitely not close to what I showed her. Christina kept trying to convince me that it was because I needed to cut a layer here and a layer there. It looked half curled when I left and an hour later was flat. She was supposed to do two looks and didnt. She said I could come back for a second trial. Christina wanted me to book her for my wedding right then and there and I didnt. She had me fill out a client info sheet. She obviously knew I was not happy and never even followed up with me. Her Wedding Wire, Yelp and website indicates she is a national makeup artist and aesthetician. It makes no reference to a hairstylist. I also could not find a license on the NJ website. Make sure you do your research before you spend $225 on a trial. I posted my review on Wedding Wire, that she disputed. She tried to say I didnt have a contract for services with her. Even though I have pictures of myself in her boutique while she was providing services, showing the steps of the trial. I also saved all the communications between us showing I had an appointment. If you read her reviews on Yelp, make sure you scroll down to all the reviews that arent factored in the rating system. Keep in mind if you go on Wedding Wire the service provider can dispute your review and have it taken down; making it look like they have all 5 star reviews.

I recently had my hair done with at Depascals in Spring Lake and absolutely love how it turned out!! I knew I needed a change, as my hair was very dry, brittle, and the highlights were all over the place. I sat down with Christina and she knew exactly how to freshen up my look and my hair with a beautiful color that was right for me. Christina is super talented and has very good insight with color and style. I am very happy with the results and my hair has never felt so smooth and soft. She uses only highest quality products which makes a big difference. I highly recommend Depascal beauty boutique-- Christina is amazing and I will definitely be going on a regular basis.

I had Christina do my hair and make up for a wedding, and she made me look absolutely amazing! I showed her a photo of me wearing the dress that I was wearing for the evening, and then she worked her magic! She even helped me coordinate my jewelry to complete the look. I received numerous amounts of compliments the whole night. She is so talented at what she does, and the store is so unique, chic, and cozy, it is unlike anything else in this area. 5+ stars for Depascal Atelier!! I have been using Depascal Organic Skincare for over a month now and LOVE it!!! My skin is alive again! My skin changed after having kids so after trying numerous brands I finally found this line and it has made a huge difference in the appearance of my skin. My husband is even happy with the results! I cant get over the clothing at Depascal Atelier either! Its my favorite shop in Spring Lake!

Depascal is one of the few stores in the area that i can say you will not find just your average things in. From the little knick knacks to the unbelieveable jewelry, to the fun clothing, i can tell you, i was excited to finally find a store that had unique pieces in. Everything is handmade! Her skin care line, all organic which i just started using i am so happy with and cant wait to try more! This small store is a GEM <3

Christina did my hair and makeup for my wedding and I couldnt have been happier with the result. Ive had my makeup done for a number of weddings and knew that I wanted a more natural look, and Christina gave me exactly what I was looking for. She also did a beautiful job with my hair - I love that she has a different style than the generic hair salon updos. Highly recommend!

She worth the extra cost because she so not jersey and has a way of making you feel like your hot as s* ..and Im in love with her exfoliater. Dont waste your money! I had her do my hair. It came out nowhere near what I wanted. She clearly has no idea what shes doing and just kept trying to sell me until I agreed to try and do whats probably the only look she knows how to do. Thank god for trials!
