I havent been to a salon that I trusted in YEARS! I didnt really know how to do my own curly hair too well myself so I got by. After searching the web and reading NUMEROUS fantastic reviews about Evolutions Hair Salon I decided to travel 45 minutes (1 way) to give them a shot. It was the best decision Ive ever made! I dont have too much time...and from the minute I walked in...I was taken care of..never left sitting for more than a minute..and was in and out in no more than an hour, looking better than I ever have!! My experience was four star at Evolitions...Jessica listened to what I wanted...and she also explained what she was doing from beginning to end so that I could style my own hair when I left. Even the shampoo girl explained all the products she used in my hair. I left there with a care sheet!! Who does that?? They do!! I didnt feel in any way like I was being taken advantage of....I felt like they really cared about WHAT I WANT and me leaving happy. Needless to say...my curly cut looked fresh, my hair has never looked so healthy...and she gave me a lesson in how to do my own hair (Ive been using all the wrong products!!). Four days later my hair still looks AMAZING!! Will be bringing my daughter back next time and will be recommending to everyone I know!

Dissatisfied with my haircut, have not been able to make it look even half way decent since my maintenance cut a few weeks ago. I dont feel as if the sides had the bulk cut out enough, and.I asked Allison to trim more bulk out, she said they were fine. The sides dont fall correctly, they stick straight out or they curl the opposite way they are supposed to. The bangs are way to long and I wasnt even showed how to deal with such long bangs. She didnt even show me how my hair looked in the back or from a side view in another mirror. I felt she got frustrated and sent me on my way to somehow figure this out. The brunette lady at front desk is rude. I went to pay my $60.00 bill with a $100.00 bill and she gives me back two $20.00 bills. I felt mortified to ask her for change but had to since I had nothing smaller. So, I had to swallow my pride and ask her for change, she asks what I need and I said change of a twenty, two tens and five sIngles, she says "SINGLES?????" I was so mortified. It really doesnt matter to me how many times they ask me if I want coffee if my hair style isnt becoming. I am not totally sure if i will be returning, although i did make two more appointments, but really undecided if Im going to keep them. Thank you for reading.

Ive been going here for over 5 years. I stumbled upon it in desperation needing a quick trim and before I knew it I was being treated as a VIP. Ive come to realize that it is just their way. I used to travel to NYC and spend $300+ and hours of my time to get my hair cut and colored. The owner, Allison, does my hair but if I cant get an appointment with her I feel completely comfortable with Jessica and Erica. I was the first customer to ask them to do my bridal parties hair and make-up off site and they were nothing short of fantastic. Allison did my hair and Jessica did my make up for my big day - highly recommend. Erica took care of quite a few of the ladies in my bridal party and I didnt hear a single complaint. In fact, the owner Allison, voluntarily took a back seat on doing my make up the day of my wedding knowing that I would prefer Jessicas heavier hand. These ladies are top of their class in all that they do.I am excited to have been a loyal customer and have watched this business grow. If you havent been there, you dont know what you are missing. Excellent service, knowledgable and friendly staff (Andrea, one of their receptionists, is truley a ray of sunshine) all at an affordable price. Try them - you will not be disappointed.

I have been going to Curl Evolution for the past two years. I looked for a "curly hair" salon on Long Island for years. You have to know how to cut and style curly hair even if you wear it straight, which I no longer do. I cant tell you how happy I am that I found this place. I was always switching salons until this one. Allison is my hair stylist, but I have used others at the salon and they are all excellent. I cannot imagine going any place else.

I was fortunate when a friend (with straight hair!) recommended this salon a few years ago. She was right: They know how to deal with curly hair of all types. My hair is curly but fine, and the curl is challenged in winters dry air. Allison adapted the cut this winter so it works great on days I decide to do a blow-dry. Again, very lucky to have landed at Curl Evolution.

I have been going to Evolutions for a very long time. The girls are all friendly and professional. Allison (the owner) does my hair and she knows exactly what to do for me. My hair has never looked so good. Andrea (the receptionist) is always friendly, cheerful and eager to help any way she can.

They are very knowledgeable about curly hair. I went for my first curly cut and my hair has become even more defined. They showed me the best products to use and techniques to style my hair. I also had my highlights done and it still looks great its been 4 months. Hair dresser Angela.
