On Saturday February 13th 2010 between the time of 11:13 and 1:30pm my laptop was burglarized from a Planet Fitness Locker. I have informed the police and have notified AL who is responsible for this location. (225th and Broadway, Bronx, NY) I had been instructed by Planet Fitness staff to secure my items into a locker, for the safety of your members, and these instructions have proven to be the cause of my direct theft. Since my direct violation I no longer feel secure in this environment and unintimidated as I was promised when I signed up in the 4th quarter of 2009. Manager Al said insurance would cover it, then swiftly changed his tone as weeks progressed. I sued Planet Fitness for the cost of my laptop $2000+ and they didnt go to court the first scheduling. The second time the Director came and was very well spoken, and from what I saw a respectable human being. He even agreed to help me with getting another one even if the arbitrator didnt rule in my favor. A week later the judge didnt, and I never heard from him again. Me and 4 witnesses that were with me that day were put out because they were caught mentioning my theft with other club members, some of who were burglarized themselves. The manager even called the cops from the 44th precinct. When the cops arrived I didnt have to say a word, he already knew. He said "Im here about 6 times a month" By the way the members asked to leave the club were one woman in her 30s another in her 60s and another 68 year old man. The Manager Als then lied and said that the 60 year old woman cursed him out. The cop just doing his job took the report. This was the first time that Ive seen the victim of a crime (myself) punished twice in one day. My suggestion to Al was that they enforce security, to this he took offense and told the cop "I told him how to run his club. By the way the same day I was burglarized 2 other men were burglarized too but did not show up to my trial. One was a guest to the club that day and had his clothes taken, and the other was a member and had his running shoes taken. When I asked to place a sign up to notify other members and guest . They said they could not do it . So It is my duty to warn you of the constant thefts that occur in this establishment. II kept in contact with the 60 year old woman that was witness to this. Since being rudely ejected from the Bronx location at 225th she signed up at the 125th Harlem location. She said that they had made changes in security and had a police in the locker room now. She was enjoying this location until Manager Al was transferred to this location one day and he called the police and asked them to put out this 60 year old woman. When she told me this I thought it was beyond low and for Planet Fitness to continue to punish its victimized members is wrong, shameful, classless and arrogant. I have written almost all levels of their chain of command with no response, not even word of remorse. Then again like its said, Im not the only one. Dont be afraid to speak up, $10 a month is no excuse for treating members as CRIMINALS. I had enjoyed my weekends here before I was kicked out for being burglarized. The sad part is that I would have continued to go back if they showed any respect for its members and came through on their PROMISES to 1:Let their insurance handle it 2:Do as their Director told me in court and help me Instead each time someone asks me about PLANET FITNESS I must tell them about what low values they demonstrate.

SIDDUR PETER: The Gym is great, the Staff is even better. Just getting there isnt pleasant, example the WTC (2001) was difficult to commute IN/ABOUT_W!omen T!errible C!ommuting according to NYPD Aviation and Haredi Businesses that were forced to abandon ship. Today, NYC is repeating that same behavior, culture and dynamics in the commute as in 2001, Women find it difficult to walk in public or around Famous WHY ?? Every month the periodical "Glitch" of being a female rearranges "REALITY" for them in the mind for 6 days straight, allowing them to be labeled by the Intelligent (LEADERS) as Unfit/Unreliable, NOT dependable under pressure. You see it in Religion, the Pope a Man, the US President a Man, the Chief of Police a Man, 90% of Supers in America Men, most Plumbers Men, FDNY Men, FBI Men, DICRIW Men, Pink Floyd Men. WTF?? Its harder to ignore it, that Females in NYC suffer from a force that doesnt allow them to secure all keys in place mentally, for lack of a laywomens term. This gym is cheap, which is what got me to join in the first place. A cheap gym is better than no gym, right? It looked alright on my tour, but when I went there to exercise, the overcrowding and occasionally broken machines were annoying. There is barely room to walk, and you have to hover over machines, or wait 20 minutes sometimes, just for a chance to use them. There are no windows in this gym, and I think the place is stuffy as a result. I know some other gyms have no openable windows, but perhaps the ventilation is better? Either way, Ive not experienced this stuffiness at other gyms, and its unpleasant during cardio. The equipment limited and of poor quality. Oh, and the weekend hours are inconvenient for me. It seems odd that a gym which is 24 hours all other days closes so early on weekends. Bear in mind that this gym is still brand new. I can only imagine any problems getting worse. Like I said, this gym is cheap to join but I guess you get what you pay for. Personally, Id rather pay a little bit more for another gym and enjoy my workout experience. On the plus side, the staff has always been friendly when I went!

I joined Planet Fitness some time in 2010. Before joining, I was a member of the New York Sports Club for approximately five years. Due to Planet Fitnesss incredibly cheap price ($10 a month) and its close proximity to my home, I felt like it only made sense for me to switch gyms. But, of course the very reasonable price brought along with it a usually large crowd. This bothered me to a certain extent, often having to change my work out schedule to accommodate for certain areas being more crowded than others. Considering how expensive most gyms are, this gym is worth the price though. It offers you the equipment needed to give yourself a satisfactory workout. If you are someone who feels like you need a personal trainer, Planet Fitness does not offer them. But, I know that this particular location is pretty relaxed with the possibility of a member bringing in an independent trainer for your convenience. .

So my home gym is Wall St. but in comparison there are some pros and cons. Some of the pros are the parking convenience, helpful staff on hand, Open 24 hours and courtesy of fellow gym members. Perhaps I went on a good day, but my first visit was a pleasurable experience. Some cons are the limited amount of showers (I only saw 4) and limited access to a smoothie stand or bar. There was one stand, but the guy was nowhere to be found. The gripes are minor and keep in mind I visited the gym while I was on vacation during normal working hours, so your visit my differ but overall this would be my GO-TO gym in the Bronx.
