Let me just start out by saying that In my line of work I deal with contractors and roofing companies a lot and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had! Save yourself the headache and use someone…anyone else! My experience with Black Rock started out great, Mark the “salesman” sounded very knowledgeable and made feel very confident with my choice to use them to replace my roof, soffit and gutters, a 15,000 dollar job. So confident I paid for the whole job upfront, which was my mistake. After paying on May 1st, 2015 I was told it would be about two weeks before they could start which was fine. However they didn’t start until the middle of June (6 weeks later) after many unreturned phone calls to find out what was going on. So they finally start the job, the first crew that came were the roofers. They were rude, vulgar and had a complete disregard for someone else’s property. Five solar lights were broken, my patio furniture was thrown all over the place, gatorade bottles were left in my gutters, in my yard and my neighbor’s yards. Red Gatorade was poured all over my front door. My neighbors and I have been picking up nails all over our property for weeks. Everything in my attic was destroyed due to nails, shingles, tar paper and splintered wood covering everything in my attic. Just like the photos that are already posted on here. Again, no communication! I was never told to cover or take things out of my attic, or that there was going to be a huge mess to clean up. We pulled out 5 huge contractor bags full of garbage that was scattered all over my attic. Then about two weeks later the guys came to put up the soffits. They seemed like nice enough guys, they did a beautiful job. When they were done I offered them a beer and they proceeded to show me all the empty beer cans from the beer they drank while working on my soffits two and a half stories up on a ladder. Then they left all of their garbage from the job piled up in my driveway for 4th of July weekend. I had to call them again to have someone come and clean up the mess. While replacing my roof they tore the shingle shake siding off my dormers and around my bay window, another thing I was not told was going to happen. Now for over a month this was left wide open with no siding. I kept calling and kept getting excuses as to why it wasn’t done. Finally after many phone calls they came and replaced the siding on July 20th 2015. However they didn’t match it to my house. They put plain unfinished shingles up and told me that it was up to me to have it painted. Please see attached photos. I even made one final attempt with the owner David Bly. Begging him to please make this right. All I wanted was the job finished. His reply was: “Tracey, Regards to the attic you were in formed as per our spec sheet and if you supply the paint I will have the siding painted. Let me know David” First of all I was never given a “spec sheet” and even if I had, how could I possibly prepare when I never had any idea when they were coming! The job started 6 weeks late and continued for another 5 weeks one day here or there with no notice or notification. I would just come home from work to find a little more done and a mess to clean up. In conclusion, if you like no communication, bulls**t excuses, your things damaged, a huge mess, incomplete work and want to have a 3-4 day job take 6 weeks call Black Rock Roofing!

I am having a major problem with this company, they had did a complete tear off last spring well come to find out they did not do the corner of the cabin right which lead up to the roof to bubble. Also we had some damage done by a storm we had this summer and call them to give us an estimate for the insurance and the cost of repair included the corner of the cabin, the insurance adjuster wanted to meet with Dave for an explanation of where the cost was coming from, Dave stood him up. Now with winter just about upon us and the roof leaking where the roof bubbled up. (note this is on work that was done last spring) I have call them a couple of times and was told that the message would be pass on to Dave, called again and was told that Dave was sick. I waited another week and still have not heard back from Dave, now Dave lives in Springville and he is the closest to us, what Black rock dont have another person to come out and get this work done. Dave knows what needs to be done so get a crew to talk with him and get a crew out here how hard is that, we paid them good money to do the work we expect good work for good money. What a mess this turned out to be, I would not recommend this company to anyone. Please Black Rock get this work done.

Not recommended AT ALL. They destroyed our attic and didnt clean it up, they used about 10,000 too many nails all of which were not the correct/ safe length. They turned our once spotless attic into a war zone and nail death trap. You get what you pay for and its clear this crew had no idea what they were doing
