BUYER BEWARE. BUYER BEWARE. BUYER BEWARE I went to lease a 2016 Toyota Highlander at the Curry dealership and was introduced to Bill. To make a long story short a deal was made to lease with $1,800 trade in, no money down and a monthly lease price of $355. Paper work signed, all required docs submitted. I shake Bills and the desk manager hands. The business manager is also in the know and I was told to come back at 4:30pm to pick up. Fast forward at home, approx 1hr after I left the dealership I received a call from Bill informing me the deal was no good because the signature on the title for the trade in was in the wrong place. To my disbelief I was shocked! Went back to Curry Toyota to get specific details and was shown on the title and where the signature was in the worng place. Asked if this was true and Bill explains their DMV clerk confirmed this. The desk manager then explains to me if i want the car I can pay $1,800 instead and the deal is good. Why would I want to pay $1,800 out of my own pocket when the deal was made earlier in the day for no money down? The desk manager seems apologetic and wants to make another deal meanwhile Bill is standing behind him shaking his head as if "dont these people get it?" I ask the desk manager if i get a new title would he honor the deal and hold onto the car? He gives me the run around and says "no" he can not hold the car. My wife who is with me suspects something suspicious and asks both Bill and the desk manager "it seems like you dont want to sell the car to us" Incredibly disappointed and upset, we left but was a little suspicious so I stopped by a Nissan dealership 4miles away and asked if the salesperson could verify with their title clerk if in fact the title was not acceptable because of the signature being in the wrong place. To my surprise and shock, I was told the title is fine and it would be accepted at the Nissan dealer for a trade in. I went back to Curry Toyota and explained to Bill, the desk manager what I was told at Nissan and asked why I was lied to about the title. NO RESPONSE. They didnt admit nor deny. To my dismay, the desk manager said if I pay $1,800 out of my pocket or with credit card the car is mine. I asked to speak with the General Manager and after doing so I realized why the desk manager and Bill the sales person were as dishonest and unapologetic. He didnt seem to care that the two of them lied to me. To make matters worse he had the audacity to ask me why I came back to the dealership? He sat at the front desk with such attititude, without standing up and his attitude was "whatever" I told him how embarassed and ashamed he should feel and how he could go to sleep at night. The apple doesnt fall too far from the tree at Curry Toyota. With the General Manager displaying such poor leadership and the desk manager and Bill reneging on the deal made earlier in the day. This goes down in the history books. I went on Yelp to see if there were any other negetative reviews and surprise surprise there are quite a few. SHAME ON YOU CURRY TOYOTA for backing out and not honoring a deal made. Your business practice is pathetic and is in serious need of changing. Angry and upset customer.

I MISS GEIS! Loved the service when they were under the GEIS management. However I noticed a significant drop in customer service and empathy once they became part of the Curry family. In 2013 brought in one of our many Toyotas in for brake issues, service writer suggested replacing brake pads to solve problem. After replacing pads, soft pedal issue still persisted. Brought the car back and was told it needed a brake flush, so we went ahead and approved brake flush, problem still persists. Coincidentally a week later, we bring the car to Mavis tire down the road for a tire rotation (we bought the tires from Mavis and took advantage of their free rotations with purchase), Mavis also reports soft brake pedal and discover the caliper pin requires replacement. They charge me $ 20 for part with free labor and walla! Problem solved. I report my findings to Curry and all I get is "we apologize and we will do better. In late 2015, decide to give them another try. We had a wobbling issue at highway speed. Service writer (cant remember her name) comes out and states our tire belts have shifted and need to buy 4 new tires from them to which I hold off. I go back to Mavis to confirm (my tires had a road hazard warranty just in case). Mavis dismount the tires and rotate the rims which show a clear warp in 3 of the factory rims causing the wobble. With the car being 10 years old at that time, it made sense and the physical proof was there. Purchased 4 news rims from Tire Rack and had Mavis remount and balance original tires that Curry claimed to have shifted belts- problem gone! Here is where Curry finally lost me as a customer- brought car in for NYS inspection and they failed citing leaky CV boot and rack and pinion. I declined work. And by the way, they recommended a $200 tune up- the service writer neglected to research that they (Curry Toyota) performed the same tune up just 35,000 miles ago! I brought the car to Mavis because I had them replace both front CV axles just last year to complain about the boots. Mavis shows me car on the lift and I do not see a tear in any boots (they were in great shape) and no leak or symptoms of leak from steering rack at all. They were happy to pass the NY State inspection. I feel Curry Toyota saw an 11 yr old car and were trying to scare my family into trading in the car for a newer model. I cannot prove this, but that is my gut feeling. I wish Bill Geis would buy this dealership back and run it like a real dealership. I love Toyota products, but now need to look elsewhere to buy and get good honest service.

This review is for sales department (my purchase of certified 2015 Camry on Feb, 2016), and sales manager Daniel Flores. ---- What an amazing pleasant experience, especially after went to a few dealerships and walked out miserable :-/ lol (Thank you again Danial, and I love my new car a lot :D) I set my heart to purchase another certified camry after my previous camry got hit badly while it was parked, my insurance company totaled it.... So after doing my research online, went through ridiculous experience with quite a few Toyota authorized dealerships in Manhattan, Queens, and long island, I found a car that I like on KKB & Curry Toyota website, I called to make sure it is still available, lucky me, it was Daniel took my call. ~ it is a whole hour drive from Manhattan, but I told myself, final try, then Ill give up, yup, I was at nerve-breaking point with the terrible car shopping around experience lol..... We drove an hour upstate and got to there at dusk. What happen next was unbelievable fast, easy and pleasant. Daniel took the car indoor where had bright lights so we can take a closer look, after that, per our requests, as showing us other inventory in the parking lot, he remind us that we might couldnt see minor scratches if theres any, because it was at night ... Gosh, who does that?! ( for sure that my previous dealer guy did not, because that car whole front left door was re-painted but I only saw if after I purchased it )... So with Daniel, there was no games, no BS, no time been wasted, I made my decision, got the car I loved within half hour. On the day when I picked it up, not only the car was cleaned beautifully inside and out like new, Daniel treated me like a VIP customer who just bought a new car too, he spent quite some time to introduce all features of the car so patiently lol ~ You know what Daniel, I will come back to buy a new car from you one day soon. :P .... OK, if you are here reading, that means you already decided to buy or lease a Toyota, smart choice. Now call Daniel Flores and ask him for his opinions with your needs, believe me you will have the best car purchasing experience in your life. :) PS, the staff there were nice and friendly, the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxed, it is quite rare for a car dealership. :)
