I had gone there to get a front right wheel bearing done to pass inspection, in which case I did. A couple months later, same problem and same noise, so I went back with my husband. The owner said that we needed new tires, it wasnt the bearing and at that point THEN said what the warranty was, which is was never stated previously, on their receipts it states ALL WORK GUARANTEED. Nothing else. So at that point I still would have been covered under the ridiculous warranty that he decided to pull out of no where. So my husband and I went to a different place to get tires since his were so expensive. Not even a month later, my car sounds worse than ever. So I went to 3 different mechanics to get estimates on what it could be, and was told by all of them " he over charged you for just the bearing and it was my right front wheel bearing and it was unsafe to drive to the point where my tire was going to come off." When I asked if wheel bearing wear that quickly in a matter of 6 months, they all said there is no way. They stated the guy either didnt do it, or didnt do it right...So, my husband went there this past saturday 4/9 and explained what had happened and said they guy needs to fix it. He said that it wasnt covered under warranty but to bring it in on another day so he could look at it and see if it was the bearing. So, this past tuesday 4/12, I took it there and said what happened, and the guy refused to fix it, said he would only fix it if we paid for some of it. I told him this was the whole reason back in september why I came there to get it fixed, I wasnt paying a dime. Long story short, after telling him what I was going to do, this will all be going to court. He refused to budge , So now I have to bring it to this level. All I wanted was to get my car fixed and go on my way, I rely on my car and I put my life in any mechanics hand when I am entrusting them with my vehicle. I am a commuter. C & V does all they can to take the stress out of car troubles. The staff is amazing; theyre so personable and knowledgeable, and they make it a point to explain the work they are doing without ever sounding like know-it-alls (as mechanics sometimes do). They care about providing a quality experience, and if you go once, theyll probably remember your car and name the next time. Once, while they were doing work on my car, they kept the shop open an hour late so they could finish and have it ready for me in the morning. That was incredible! And as if thats not enough, they always, always try to cut down costs where they can and have consistently saved me money. Like I had to have a significant repair done in order to pass inspection, and after they did the repair, they completed my inspection free of charge! Its so rare to find people, let alone business owners, as generous as John. Id recommend this place to anyone

C & V has been servicing my cars for 9 yrs & i have sent friends & we all have never had a problem with their work, integrity or honesty!! John told me that Robero guys car was done sbout 5 yrs ago and the rust was the frame that was rotted thru like swiss cheese!!!!! Even i know that fails inspection!!!! John told be he would really like to get the illegal inspection sticker number so he can contact the state so you could could explain to them how your rust bucket passed with a frame rusted so bad that with no force a screwdriver went thru it in more then one spot with you watching!!! Big fine for you & whoever you are paying off to do your illegal inspections. Robero, you are a clown & C & V or no shop in the world needs losers like you coming to their shop!!!!! You need to get a life !!!!! C & V is AAA rated with the Better Business Buerau!!! You dont get that rating from being dishonest!!!!

I live up the hill from C & V, and have been taking my vehicles to John and company since 1996 I think. Everything from major repairs (cracked heads) to little stuff (tire repair). Many many trips for both maintenance and repairs. I would highly recommend them. They do very good work, and come across as very honest. Way cheaper than the dealer, and John will cut you some slack if there are a lot of items. On occasion where there was a minor follow up issue (like a small transmission fluid leak after service), they quickly, cheerfully remedied the issues at no extra charge. They are a pleasure to deal with. John will let you know what things your car needs, but have never felt like I got taken "for a ride" for things that were not necessary.

Folks were friendly and the work that they did, they did well at a fairly high price. Unfortunately for me, they missed the obvious issue with Subarus regarding overheating and within two days of my pricy repairs I broke down on my way home from work. I called them and was met with a wall of resistance to help me. I personally thought they were very nice folks but quickly learned it was a tactic of sorts of the trade, when it came down to it, I paid 700 for work that had little to do with my issue, I also suspected they were not telling me everything - I turned out to be right as I confirmed it with other mechanics. Anyway, anyone looking for a unusable Subaru? call me .

This review is long overdue. Had some work done here approximately a year ago +/- 3 months. John was extremely friendly. I had originally gone to the dealer, who gave me a list of the services that my vehicle needed along with the high corresponding prices. John and his team ran some diagnostics, found some additional things that wouldve become concerns in the near future. In the end, it cost me about 1/3 to 1/2 of what the dealer was charging me. Everything was explained in detail, I never got the feeling that I was being pushed into paying for additional/unnecessary services. Will definitely return. Thanks John.

A wheel bearing went on my truck on the way back to a jobsite. I called up and spoke with John he gave me a quick accurate straight forward quotes as I waited for the towtruck. Had the tow truck drop my truck off at AV to fix it and got a ride back to the jobsite. Called up two hours later while finishing up the job and John told me they were just finishing up. Picked up the truck and it drives better than it has ever driven and best of all was that the final bill was a little less than quoted. Great service center and if I ever have an issue in Fishkill I know where to go. Quick curtious service.

Doesnt treat employees right talks bad about other companies or businesses to his customers to try to convince them not to go to that business anymore and go only to him for example Mavis discount tire as soon as you walk in you will see his little sheets he also sells parts to customers that are unnecessary I worked for him a year and half and been through 4 different people within that period of time due to the character he his but most of all once his employees leave the job talks bad about his employees to his customers people should really get to know this guy before taking ur vehicles there
